  1. Depends on the style! I assume its the Big single as used on the MH and later RW here! The bolts on the left hand can come loose and sometimes break ! Mostly behind a V8 ! All bets are off if its that new Volvo Mount they are garbage to start with! Not sur if the Auz trucks are built the same! Not sure the Volvo Take over was after 2002 so likley the affore mentioned!

    Paul I agree whole heartedly with your statements! There is the issue however of Morales Some guys are in it for the money only !weather they do a good job is secondary! Working hard is only as good as the intent of the person doing the job! A person that is seeking credibility as a good wrench regardless of the pay Or a person seeking just a pay cheque! Pleasing the customer was High on my list but that's me! If your in it for the money only WELL......... you get my drift! Unfortunately you can lead a horse to water but you can't make em drink!

    Yup I think Joe said it once or twice on this forum ! You got to be spot on when assembling MP your asking for trouble if you don't! There in lies one reason why each wrench turner has a lap top on his tool box!

    Ya I get that bro ! I felt kind of denied the chance to work on the shit! After a while thou I thought to my self I DON"T really want to work on it! I will stick with gray stuff thanks! Just the un thoughtful way the engines are assembled pissed me off more than anything! and the fact they chucked away all the decent Mack designs instead of using them! The parts system Sucks ! Well I got my self all wound up Better stop now! 😅

    I Have never been good At wiring issues Or computer diagnosis ! I will decline coming to your class thanks ! How ever I do respect you taking on the challenge! The PTT program Is still half Baked in my opinion The Cummins programs are or have been better thought out !

  11. Yup all good ! 😁 I didn't manage to snag a camera before I retired 😔 Oh well them diagnostic days are over right? we got computers now they solve everything! 🙄
  12. Means you need to keep the lid on!😂 This is a normal anomaly! If you notice the turbo drains to that tube any small amount of piston ring blow by will cause that!
  13. Three! My self ! I'm tapped out ! Can't speculate anymore going to have to be patient an see what unfolds here we will all know next week once Dave gets the head back on and running! My prediction is it will run perfect and we will never get to the bottom of the issue! Hope I'm wrong! Hopefully Dave will find a smoking gun or the machine shop finds an issue and fesses up ! But don't count on it!

  15. I appreciate the compliment how ever I always try to post a disclaimer I am not a Guru on the subject! I do consider vmac and pro more in touch on this subject and have Guru status in my mind! Wether they want to admit it or not😇
  16. Just a long shot here ! The Jake depends on the action of another rocker! correct ? SO maybe the spool actuator stuck on cyl one and is not retracted enough this could explain it ! I don't remember if the actuator piston runs off an exhaust rocker or intake! Another thing I don't know how honest your machine shop guys are BUT! If the machine shop missfired on something I don't think there going to admit it! Your going to get this head back reassemble it and the engine will run just fine! AND We will never know what the issue is or was unless you find something on your end! We had a situation had heads rebuilt the guides failed with in weeks seized valves blabla These people did not admit to any wrong doing would not come to the table on another total engine job ! gos to say WE don't use these guys anymore !
  17. You and me both bro! leave my name out of it! I also fit into the category of enough to be dangerous when it come to the MP emission stuff! my knowledge is observation based! I hardly turned a wrench on this junk! I have basics only knowledge ! Vmac3, and Mackpro these are the guys working daily with it the shit and programing and specs change every 5 minutes! If You need to know nitty gritys these the guys you can count on! I do comment on it from time to time when I see I can add something of relevance!

  21. yup put 12v to the pin on the Valve cover while it idles! that will prove the solenoids out at least!

  23. Bro he proved he had a bad seal on a valve the question at this point is why and what caused it!
