  1. The stuff mentioned below is not really the cprect answer for the problem But! My first guess would be liners leaking aswell. You could try some repair in a can like alumiseal or dyke !These are not a proper fix but a get by.You could also phone these guys and tell em whats going on and try there product if they think it will work! http://www.rxauto.com/demo.htm Do not use barsleak
  2. No aplause please just throw money!
  3. If you have any trouble with the low low remember that there still may be a spring and a ball under the front cover you may have to remove for it to work right with the air shift the truck it came from likly had 2 sticks.
  4. You Don't need myall's help your done! Good job! You'll be drivin it in an hour
  5. Bud Post a picture of the trans if you can!OR if your like me have your Kids do it! Let Us know how you make out on this!
  6. NO there is an air shift on the dash that oporates the Cylinder on the front section of the trans the rear is forward reverse And Split! K There could be to openings on the front box or just a plate ! It don't mater where you put the air shift for low low it can be on the front or right next to the stick it dosent mater ! I would buy a stick and put it in as is you may have to open up the floor hole a bit thats no biggy!
  7. I would stright stick it! Simple as buying a stick ! Your working on an RW that has a remote shifter bracket bolted to the top correct? That air shift can go in either or hole front or mid!
  8. 1070b If the leter changes on the end the ratio will be diffrent the shift lid locations do not change the ratio.
  9. The gearing isn't going to change! If you got a the same model number its the same gears. The input shaft was likly changed cause it came from a cement mixer with a flywheel pto!
  10. The only diffrence between the one you have and the one you took out is the shift rails !But the first section of trans has to come off to change out the rails!OR alter the stick!
  11. Joe When did the power problem show up?If it showed up around the time of the rebuild I would be suspecting the wrong cam key was installed ,there are three cam key selections. Not sure which key was to be used for the 427 but this could be the problem. How ever there are other places the intake can leak the air compressor inlet and intake gaskets is another possible place the hose on the air compressor inlet is a comon leak on some models of truck CV model this was quite common if the comp is plumbed to the inlet manifold check this out.
  12. I like green myself, But not sure if its that great for the system with all the heat !as for the screen Maybe every to years or so duno maybe 68 has an opinion!
  13. Ya don't just flip the switch while moving thats for sure !Seen lots of mangled idlers for sure! Ya can replace em in the truck but it aint easy,Ya need to stop then switch If I had a truck and seen my driver fliping the switch rollin I'd kick him . Best dump truck trans going in my opinion!Nice selection, If ya got a long way to go in reverse it sure is nice to get ater and go!
  14. Joe Ya should tell em to check for boost leaks check the air cleaner ect if the pyro gets that hot that fast its not likly getting enough air!
  15. Can you give us some more info! What year is the truck ? What trans? What have they checked so far.Have they ever done a cam job on the truck? what kind of boost does it make, does it smoke if so what color is the smoke. Things to check fuel preasure , boost leaks ! What does the pyro run at? Let us know!
  16. Nothin wrong with a twelve speed! there only real weak point is backing up! If your doing alot of backing up ,( with lots of weight up steep grades) it pays to replace the rear counter shaft bearings once every couple of years! An observation
  17. I think not after talking with him!Just the luck of the draw me thinks!
  18. Thanx for posting these CL96 ,Might not hurt to make these stickys if possible, Barry!?
  19. I beleive this is correct It means dismantaling the shift knob is all!
  20. Have you tested your oil for coolant? This Problem (Can sometimes) be produced from the turbo!Does your truck puff out there At idle?
  21. Ya be careful! As For Jerrys coolant jug I thought you had the big round aluninum tank on there already!
