  3. Then check the timing and make sure its got good boost. Should have at max about 22 to 26 psi. If not start to check things like bad turbo and leaks on the air/air cooler and piping. Also to hope you have not by mistake run gasoline thru it? glenn
  4. Replace the bolt and then get it it hot and do the water bottle test for compression in the coolant. That will tell you somthing. If you have been hearing a chirping sound when you mash on it then pull the head. glenn

  6. We in most csaes would wash out with pressure washer when hot then spry alot of PB baster inthere then use the air hammer. Then dont let it leave with out the dust cover.
  7. I misread you post and tought you was speaking of a grese leak. That is the problem i have. glenn
  8. True, look same but differnt drive gear for the rear box. The fly wheel housing can be changed from most 672 cube engines but should be dialed indicated to check for run out.The trans bell housing can vary from a single plate to a double plate clutch. The frame mount bolt holes will be in differnt place in most R models when you do this. glenn
  9. I have a 2190 that does the same thing. I have been in the shifter and mine has no o/ring like a eaton. But the parts for the shifter can be bought. I have check the vent and its open and made sure the pto is not leaking air inside so i to dont understand. glenn
  10. I think i remenber seeing them in B models that had the END 465 and 475 engine in them. I remenber them because they were mixers with wedge brakes.Mixers years ago was washed with acid and then back off in a pond of water to clean the bottom off.So they never had brakes.
  11. just like i remeneber. and water pump was different also.differnt lenght on the shaft.
  12. I remenber them well but been since 68 since i have seen one. Cant help you but I would call a pump shop and if you dont have one call (918) 250-0581 (918) 250-2023 Ask for Richard Allen and tell him its a END 475 scany engine. He should know what it is. Engine oil goes in it i know that.
  13. Listen to rick cause he is a Dealer.
  14. This is a 97 so it will be hub pilot. I have seen some hubs that has had the wheels run loose and the pilot is not all there. This can let the brake drum and wheel be off center. If so you can get a centering tool for the studs when you tight the nutsthe wheel and drum will be centered.Look at hat some more.I have seen it a few times and in most cases some one wants to sell you a hub but not need always.
  15. Some times those light bars gets pulled off by the landing gear on the tralier.
  16. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a63_1332796727 So whats he telling him? What does this mean?
  17. Rob my 9 speed was a reman when i put it to work and the shifter was stiff and now maybe 140000 miles later it is just right. Only thing strange is it pushs grease out of top of the shifter stick and for sure the vent is open. i spent a few hrs trying figure this out. The pto is not leaking air and i have tried 85/90 as well as 140W in it.Its like a gears is throwing the oil upward to the shifter. My manual tells two different ways of shifting a 9 speed and i will look some more on which one which way. I shift it both ways and not a bit of difference that i can tell.
  18. I would like to hear more about the multispeed mack rear ends. glenn
  19. They did it slow but with the help of a double reduction rear end and low ratio on top of that.I remenber them very well working here in the oil field. Also were i worked at the old deal ship was years ago was a steep hill and i have seen trucks with cummins pulling big over size loads give it up to one old B model mack to take it over the top.He had low gears and started in them.
  20. You was adjusting the satic timing and that is i think a 315 HPA very good engine in its time.
  21. When that trans was around i know a few guys that had them and i have worked on them and drove them some.If the driver is used to trhem thay shift with out grinding but only thing drivers didnt like was having to cltch on ever shift. Also check the grease and it should have a light weight grease. If its got gear end grease it will not last because it has neeedle brgs and the heavy grease would also make it harder to shift.Make sure the air pressure is up on it.
  22. I guess you are using the clutch to shift the rear box ant you?
  23. Also you may check for a draw on the battiers.
