Just for the fun of it disconnect the speakers and connect back backwards from what they were. Seems like back in the old cb days ther4e was a driver here had same thing.I am talking about am/fm speakers. glenn

Pistons and turbo and rework the injection pump and injectors.Also time it proper and make sure it has a 5" exhaust. All else is same.But you can use a 5 or 6 speed trans behind it if thats whats in it now.

If it ever work good then i would check for the pump or supply line for sucking air.And yes the threads may be bad on the filter.

I will try it again now that i got some time but talking about the wobble. I have had it in my 89 mack ever time the rear tires get worn down below trhe front tires. I hav seen this same problem off and on with a few trucks for 40 or 50 years. It is a wobble feel but what i have proved to my self is its the cam and dogs or peanuts worn down enough that when the tires are not trhe same size the dogs try to hang the cam to the outer hub causing a interment surce or power flow.Hope that makes sense but new tires or getting the tires with in a 1" from large to smallest size in tireswill stop it.I have always said 3/4" all the way around because years ago that was what the ser manual said.If the size is too far off on the tires from largest to smallest the power divider will pop.On the truck here being talked about look and see if it has a air lock in and if it does lock it in and run down the road and see if it stops the wobble. Even tho it is air lock up it still has the peanut and cam hub like the one with out air cyl lock up. glenn

I have not tought about those old alummin ties in years. I remenber them well because i have used them and copper tubing wraped in a cloth covering mant times.My son cant belive me.

The heads may look alike but are not the same. The E7 is metric. Call phill Dirt at Global truck parts for used jakes. He is on this form.I have one with jakes and one with dyntard and no difference.And on top of the using a E 7 on a E 6 the cam is different also.I did not know tecbrake was still building parts any more. And i would not have a pacbrake on my donkey.

With the gaskets of now days its no required but i still do. I get maybe 10000 miles on them and retorque. Loosen each head bolt off one turn at a time and oil under it and torque to specs.And adjust valves.Specs is 220 ft lbs.

You need a deep cycle battery when you are letting it discharge that much and then charge at a fast rate.Anormal battery will not last long at the rate your talking about.

Well to check the same way as if you had a radial tire. Paint a waise line all the way around in ceanter and then spin while some one scribes a line all the way round the center of the tire. Then let dowm on ground and measure from center of one tire to other and compare the from measurement to trhe back of the tire.

The Deco 12/24 has the battiers connected in a configeration of 24 volts and connected to the starter in 24 volt configeration.It is trhen charged by the 24 volt alternator. But the alter has a 12 volt tap on it also only for the 12 volt acc in the cab. Not for charging anything.

You are still off on timing.I have worked on them years ago when on the 864 V8 engine and can not remenber were the pump timing mark was. But sounds like it was on the rotor head inside of a window lining it to the end of the gap between a snap ring in the housing. This mark should be up when # one cyl is ready to fire. The mark on the flywheel should be lined up with its self when the rear valve cover is removed and rolling the engine over watch for valve over lap on # 6 then 1 is ready to fire.The valve over lap is found when the exhaust closes and the intake just starts to oipen. glenn

I have one with jake and one with dnyotard. They work great if you open both doors wide open and leave the windows rolled up.Cant see any difference in the holding power they have.The jake will make more noise.

I refuse to try to help on a cummins over head because it is too easy to misunderstand and too muc h damage can be done. First thing i will say is find the cpl and then go to jake brake.com and find the jake brake install instruction and they at one time told you how to run the over head for that cpl. Dont mix the procedure for oter base with inter base. That is for different cpl injectors.

What imean is ohm each wire from one end to the other disconnected at both ends. No more than 10 ohms in the wire or its too much.It should be or best to be 0 ohms.

I may be missing somthing but if you grinding down the liners and get them in there how will the piston pins work in the 866 rod? And what will the compression ratio be?

My superliner has about 1300 ohms on the sendor.With the Vss out see if you can turn the tone wheel with a screw driver.If you can check it out.The sensor or vss with be same be on most all trucks and 900 up with be ok. I have never seen one with 2500 so that is almost open.ohm each signal wire from one end to other end and it should be less than 10 ohms.
