  1. Amber???? I want to get one for the B as mine is much too modern looking.
  2. Note to self......................mine is an "FDC" model in my truck.
  3. Wish I knew someone when I was that young that would have let me play with equipment like that!! There was a video on Youtube that showed some like 8yr old running a guys mini excavator and was better then most guys I've seen. Unreal. Better then playing with an Xbox!!!
  4. My CB hangs in that open space, so no room for a console there. Been contemplating building a console between the two seats though. Enough room for a/c unit, cup holders and the like. Just level between the seats, so that I could lay down across it if need be. I've slept across the seats a couple times, but back when it still had bench seat in it. Those "covered" switches are for "safety", as you can't accidentally move them until you flip the cover up. That's a good looking B model, and time will tell what it goes for at the ATHS auction next month!
  5. Ya, but he passed before he could finish the sentence "..........Just don't get caught"
  6. Ok, now maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.........
  7. This reminds me of about 7 yrs ago I went to southern Ohio to a weekend camping thing with local internet diesel club. I missed my turn, had to "recalculate" and check the map. Found a route that didn't look bad so I took it. DOH!! It was back road heaven with constant switchbacks and 6-7% grades. I was making up gear ratios as I went LOL!! I only have a 40ft trailer, but it was bad enough I was using all the road I could find. Had a local sheriff follow me for a short while til he found a place to get around me. I just smiled and waved LOL! Sure was glad to finally get back to the main road.
  8. Hmmm, don't look bad from wayyyy over here.
  9. Jim, I can't wait to see that in person!!! Come on June..............LOL (that's the Gasser Reunion, right?)
  10. Here ya go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18BcE8SF7-o
  11. The thing is all the lines have to be hooked up(correctly), as if not it won't work. I've never seen the actual line schematic to know what line does what. Would love to know. Yes, one is main source to wiper motor, maybe the other two are the "park" function? Re-thinking, there are 4 lines at the control and 3 at the motor? Maybe I'll send an email off to Art and see if he can shed some light on it.
  12. Does your wiper have 4 lines going to it? I know that was the issue I had when finding a new switch, there seems to be a few variations and getting the plumbing correct is paramount.
  13. Sweet ladder truck!! Ya know, I always wondered what it would be like to make a race car hauler from a truck like that?? Cruis'n with the top.........well, off LOL!! Guess as long as I knew it wasn't going to rain that day.
  14. Thanks Tom. Just got a quick wash, sun down behind the trees............all equals "prefect picture" for a rusty, beat up old truck LOL!!! It's a true 50 yarder. The shiny bumper/grille and the newer paint on the fenders hides all the other issues. Mike I'm still waiting on my air ride cut off. Not sure when I'll get it and when I'll be able to get it put on?
  15. Ok, no expert, but played with mine a few years ago. I have pisspoor memory, so bear with me. I pulled mine apart and got all the gunk out of the motor itself. There is a "toggle" valve built into the motor that flips the air from side to side. The one end cap on the motor has the gizmo inside and likely you'll have to pull it apart to check it. If you get it to one side can you "park" it(turn the control valve on dash) and make it return? Make sure all four lines are in great shape as one of mine was about closed shut and it ran really slow. Once I fix that, they run like a raped ape. If the motor had lots of oil in it, the lines can swell shut(like mine did). I found out 9 yrs ago with mine that their are a few differenct control knobs as Barry and I went round and round trying to get a matching unit to replace mine. To no avail I just put a new O ring inside my dash control and it's been okay since. The O ring seals the shaft and there isn't much anything else to it. Art Krewat has a company that deals in old/NOS Trico wiper motors. I used to have a link to it. Something like Marine Parts unlimited? Something like that. Likely you'll be able to make it work fine again as long as nothing is broken.
  16. Looks like Doug Fetterly's stuff? Out of Pennsylvania.
  17. That was Peter Grimm of Melrose NY. The truck came from a lumber yard up north? Can't recall the whole story, have to watch the tape again.
  18. Here's mine looking a bit better then usual LOL!! Just shined it up and it hides its rust well.
  19. Glad to see you made it safely and everyone likes it. Funny thing, the wife made a comment that only her head was "small"(when you were looking at the helmets). Well, seems even that might not be true LOL!!
  20. Well, Rob made it to Canton and got his bike last night. Very loong day for him. He did get to ride his bike for a short jaunt back to my place to load it. Had a quick bite at 11pm and off he went into the night. Sorry, no pics as it was dark when he got here and even darker when he left LOL!!
  21. If I recall, someone has pictures of that truck or knows who/where it is. Totally agree....very "truckly" and tastefully done.
  22. I still wonder HOW I can back my 40ft race trailer into a dark hole at the house at 4am without even trying. THEN, come Saturday afternoon in the glaring sun can't put it in the spot with 4 tries?
  23. Sounds like you had a fine day. Mine wasn't going too well either. Got out the track, finally. Got the car out, warmed it up and headed for the staging lanes. Got backed into the waterbox and hit the brake pedal. Hmmm, not working too well. Not good. I can pump them up, but they don't work well. I still made two passes on what I found to be only rear brakes(front disc not working much at all). After a pass, the rotors were only luke warm and slowing 4100# from 118 mph should put some kinda heat into them. Just went through the brakes, bleed them and all. Stopped and ordered new master cylinder for it. Can you imagine AZone not having one for a '73 LTD non power disc brakes? Hmmm. LOL! Car ran really well, suspension upgrades worked great!!! Can't wait for pictures that track photog took.
  24. Ya, I already switch to the bland screen set up to see if that helps. It did, sorta, nothing drastic. All the new stuff is great, unfortunately everyone isn't in the same boat and we all have issues with using the new stuff(be it: connection, hardware, or software). I just don't check in here as often anymore due to the slowness.
  25. I can get on.......it just takes F o r e v e r...............to get the screens loaded. Even with my new computer at home, it's noticably slower anymore. We're talking 30 seconds to refresh the screen. Seems the more stuff, the slower it goes. I have this problem with a couple sites I frequent(or used to a lot more). I feel it's reach dial up speed from 10 yrs ago. I get too impatient and just don't go there anymore. Is it just all the "fluff" stuff on the site that is slowing it down? I think that is more the issue, as sites get more involved and add more "bells and whistle" they get slower.
