  1. Well I emailed a foundry about making emblems and the salesman said they would take a look at what I want made then he came back with the hole copyright bs. Well at least I tryied right lol
  2. I just rememberd there is a small foundry in the next town over from me ill look into it see if they can help us.
  3. I had a thought, if Barry can't get any b81 emblems made I was going to look into this digital printing thing and see if I can't get them made out of plastic, it would be better then nothing I guess the only thing is how do they put that Chrome looking coating on plastic. Let me know if you guys would be interested in trying this. Rudy
  4. I here ya on the belly clearance lol im a big boy and I just fit in my b81 with no room to spare.
  5. I do not have any fenders but a friend of mine that is a member on here was going to get a few sets made. PM me with a price on your shutter assembly if you would like to do a cash deal. Rudy
  6. I am in need of 6 of the smooth style aluminum shutters to finish my shutter assemble. I tryed using sitters from a b61 but the drive arms are on the one end are crimped on the opposite way. No one probably has any of these laying around but I figured I would just put it out here anyway. Thanks Rudy
  7. Do they have a v8 stuffed in that green B ? I seen a few videos with that truck and it dont seem like that sleds going to stop it
  8. Dont worry Matt no junking will happen until I move in my new place and get shop set up, dont worry you have dibbs on the turbo setup.
  9. yeah thats whats in our MB, they seem to run good. Is thats whats in your U
  10. didnt even know they had a smaller wheel like that, might need one for this belly of mine.
  11. a lot of people told me to go with a 237 but i herd they will eat up a quadbox most likely i will end up with a 237 though
  12. Well I started my truck up today and as i waited about a min and a half for oil pressure to show on the gauge I thought this cant be good, then the pressure shot up to 80, not too bad i guess then about 2 more minutes go by then a little man with a big hammer showed up inside the engine and started banging away lol . The gauge still showed about 80 psi after this came about. The end of last year when i found oil in the antifreeze I didnt run it until last week. I changed the oil cooler, filter and oil but i guess the damage must have already been done. I suspect that my truck was beaten hard before it was retired by whom ever had it last so it might have been on its way out anyway, now its time to try and find a 250 or a 237 and send the 711 to the big yard in the sky. Rudy
  13. Mike if any of those trucks are tractors see if they have a fifth wheel like the one on your b87 and see if the guy is willing to part with it. Thanks
  14. I would bring the mb pumper over to the show but I wouldn't want to sit there with it all day, for the small chance that anything goes missing I would be in big troble.
  15. Are you trying to say you don't like my engine crane method lol
  16. That is sad indeed, there is a company down here called eastern industries, I used to see there R model dumps everywhere but the last few years it seems like they just faded away or maybe its just me but I don't see them as often as I used to. Hopefully thoses nashua trucks will be bought by some other US company that can make a buck with them.
  17. I wish I could be this far along with my truck looking good though.
  18. Our dept still runs a 1978 Mack pumper and a 1976 rescue and I'm from a area where most trucks are replaced every 15 to 20 years except for us for some reason. Are other two pices are from 1991 and 1999. As the other guys said 20 years is the common age for a fire truck except for Mack of corse because they run for ever and don't rattle to pices lol Rudy
  19. The unit in the above picture apperes to be mounted on that small cast iron cross member and to the cross member that the rear of the cab is mounted to, if you look.close in the pic you can see the mount. Looking at my b81 the rear of my trans is about even with the back of the cab so I guessing that box in the above pic is mounted to the rear of the trans.
  20. this one is the truck that the picture from my original post came from. I thought this truck was a b87 or it could be a b83. The truck with the silver bumper is a b87 almost sure.
  21. This thought has crossed my mind before a shirt with the 2 trucks on it like at the top of the bmt home page if it don't exist already.
  22. Thank you vary much for the invite, I will see you there. Rudy
  23. That's interesting how that setup works. I did see internationals for sale that said they had power towers on them. Where these things mounted right to the back of thr trans or was there a short jack shaft between it. I forgot to look at that when I took that picture that day. Rudy
