  1. This is something I'm currently working on as well for my b81 the only problem I found so far is the maxi chamber I have has 2 ports on the service brake side one will be sticking almost straight up but the other port will interfere with the inspection plate for the brakes but only on the driver side. Here are a few pictures from a show I went to.this is a b81 dump
  2. How about the brake pedal mount ? The floor in that truck should be the same as a b81
  3. yes Matt it is a early 237 out of a r my friend has a 71 r model with a 237 and the filter housing is mounted on the frame behind the cab, it's pretty much set up the same way my 711 was.
  4. from the looks of it the coolent filter piece won't work with what I have. I need to figure out how the oil filter mount bolts on the engine as well , I'm not sure if there is more pieces involved or not.
  5. I'm looking for the parts needed to convert to spin on filters oil, fuel and coolent.
  6. Hi I'm looking for some advice or tips with putting the fly wheel and clutch that was on my 711 on to a 237. I'm guessing the fly wheel will bolt on but I'm just wondering if there would be any balance issues or any other dumb little things I'm not seeing. The clutch I have is a cl50 Thanks Rudy
  7. A friend of mine bought a b61 dump and it looks to have 44k rears but the brackets look to be the same as mine and I'm pretty sure the truck has there's maxi chambers on them I'll take a few pictures when I get down there
  8. here is what I found today. Maxi chambers I have to find out the diameter yet though. I'm guessing these will give enough brake power and then a parking brake as well.
  9. Well I haven't made too much progress on my truck but I'm back on the project. I got the drive shaft out and the trans out last night. I was working on the front axle back in the winter and discovered I need king pins and a deal fell through for a set of 22 in hubs. I am also trying to figure out what to do with the rear breaks, I would like to put modern cans on the truck and the smallest one's I can find are 24/24 chambers but there a little to big in diameter.
  10. I am in need of a set of 22 inch spokes for a fa600 front axle. I have a set of 24's I'm willing to trade as well.
  11. Did anyone ever try seeing if the b model tops fit the r model bottoms at all ?
  12. this really sucks to hear i just talked to him in the beginning of January, i was supposed to take a trip to his place in the vary near future. this really sucks to hear i just talked to him in the beginning of January, i was supposed to take a trip to his place in the vary near future. I didnt know Chris vary well but he did seem like an awesome guy and was willing to help me out even though he did not know me long.
  13. Oh no you guys figured me out, yes that's my truck and yes that's me dumping cans of ether into the turbo.
  14. I know that's the scary part to trust the person saying this engine runs great and I buy then it blows up.
  15. that's what a friend of mine suggested about the generator mount holes , try to salvage what I can of the threads and soder studs in. If I come across a better engine for a good price will will get rid of this old 711.
  16. I do for the most part have the tools or access to them it's just the condition of the other bolt that scares me.
  17. I was wondering if it would make a difference or not
  18. So I found proof that some people should not be allowed to work on trucks.this is where the generator bracket should mount.
  19. I'm guessing a failure and maybe they were in a hurry so they just fixed the internal problems.
