  1. I asked that question on here a wile back but no one really said there was a reason for the different hub size
  2. my front tires are definitely 11.00 24 tube type I quick measured the hubs and there's a 2 inch difference
  3. So here is a good question for some of you. I pulled of the 11-22 tires off the back off my truck and rolled one up to the front witch are 11-24 and they appear to have the same overall hight. Now the 24 is bald but I thought there was supposed to be a big difference ?????
  4. we have a 10 foot door on our fire house and our mb fits by 3/4 of a inch to the light bar and my b81 fits in my garage by 6 inches and I have a 9 foot door
  5. Eastern industries here in Lehigh valley had all macks, I used to see them all the time but not so much anymore. There also is a small concrete company here called rockhill, they ran mostly macks until those new stye Oshkosh trucks took over but on the bright side they turned a few of them old trucks into dumps rather than get rid of them.
  6. I was doing research on this and you will need to find new hubs my b81 is set up the same way for some reason. Find the member kcam on here he had some 24 inch rubber for sale
  7. I believe the cf stopped in 91 or 92 and I was told the last few years they were being made by kme at there plant but I'm not a 100% sure.
  8. I think I called him last year on it, nice truck but no title pa is vary picky about that need a title or no dice.
  9. is that a website or just some small towing company
  10. Sorry if my comment sounded cheap I guess since it's a cab over you could just paint it and put it on then you would have a nice truck.
  11. Seems a little steep for a cab for the reason that I can't find a mb with a good chassie.
  12. I seen those on eBay already with the seller claiming them to be rare, they looked a little cheesy.
  13. if you mean mill as rolling mill thats long long gone. The only industry left on that bethlehem steel site it's forging and machining.
  14. you are correct that building was #8 machine shop, that is the building I work in and it is still a machine shop with some of the biggest machine tools in the world.
  15. that Orange dm is exactly what I would like to get except a short wheel base Tandom tractor.
  16. a friend of mine his dad ran doubles out of the buffalo plant for years he said, he told me many stories about that place.
  17. sadly there isn't any other macks in the plant ,the only other truck is a fraight shaker from the mid 90's. When the Bethlehem plant was divided up and the city made public streets between the shop's we have they couldn't run that dm 800 no more down to the other machine shop so that's why the other truck was bought. I seen that dm loaded one time leaving the shop taking a load of rolls to heat treat with that lowboy loaded down, let me tell ya that dm didn't look like it was working too hard and the guy driving was going way to fast to be safe , I wish I could of got it on camera.
  18. I would love to have that dm800, besides the frame rails running away from each other the truck is in good shape.
  19. no problem I wanted to do it awile ago just never got around to it.
