  1. I would like too meet some of you guys also but i cant just walk around asking if there a bmt member lol
  2. when I went to the Mack days show I seen 2 b87's both with the cummins engine and that b87 on eBay so I was figuring that the pier tower was only working with what ever trans set up those trucks came with. Thanks for your reply Superdog.Rudy
  3. I seen a few of these things on trucks at the Mack days show. Every one I have seen so far been behind a cummins engine. Are these setups hard to find and can they be set up behind a quadbox ? I just thought I would ask before I go looking from somthing I won't find. Thanks Rudy
  4. That's good you have them, if I new that parts for these b81's were hard to come by I would of bought a much nicer truck.
  5. I find it strange and neat all at the same time lol
  6. Good looking pair of rigs. Good luck finding a shutter set for the b81 seems impossible to find them. Rudy
  7. Can anyone explain the shift pattern in this truck ???? Why would they put 4th and 5th in the middle
  8. I also have been looking, nothing no where
  9. The 711 runs ok as far as I can tell but its not the original engine to the truck its out of a r model or somthing newer. I can't run the power steering pump I have for it because of the way the oil filter housing is and the coolent maniflolds not being right. I know its not a big deal to make it work but since its not right to begin with and the truck didn't come that way I might as well make it the way I want it and have a bit more power too lol
  10. Ok so I seen a few posts about this engine and started a post a few months ago about weather to replace or rebuild my 711. After getting to ride in a b81 that has a 250 in it I really like the thought of running this engine in my truck plus a few of.you guys recommended doing this in my other post. A friend of mine told.me the 250 is hard to come by anymore witch I beleave him but I just wanted to get some input on the exact years trucks this engine came in or any companys out there that deal with used Mack engines. Thanks Rudy
  11. Thanks for your input guys. I found someone with a cooler for me to use. Rudy
  12. I'm gonna look into this later today. I found out the engine in my truck is out of a R model so ill see if I can bypass the cooler.
  13. That is so simple I should of thought of that, if I can't find one ill just do that for now. Thanks Larry
  14. Hey, could anyone give me the part number for the oil cooler on a thermodyne, I looked around on line but cant seem to find any place that has what I need even if any of you guys have a good used one laying around that you could ship to me that would be better then buying a new one for now. I might be moving soon so I have to get my truck running. Thanks Rudy
  15. I bought this fifth wheel for my b81, I liked it at first but now I'm having second thoughts. It apperes to be off off some military tractor because of the od green paint and the sandy yellow color over top of it. The fifth wheel is a dubble pivot and takes the 3 inch king pin. There is a pice broken off of the lock latch I guess you would call it. The fifth wheel ways a 1,000 lbs and is 36 inches wide and the distance between the angles that go around your truck frame is 35 1/4 I beleave. I would like to trade for a smaller cast iron type fifth wheel that is of heavy spec just not as heavy as the one I have now. If anyone is just interested in buying it pm me for a price. Rudy
  16. Speaking of b model action there needs to be some more/better/longer videos of b models on YouTube and this might sound dumb but I would like to here what a thermodyne with a Jake brake sounds like lol. I did see the videos of the truck in the above picture vary cool. Rudy
  17. yes MH im sorry but i forgot to take pics, If i get back up there this weekend ill take some for you.
  18. Its funny you say that because at that junk yard they damage good stuff all the time with a loader when they handle the trucks/cars. The other sad this is there was a Mack MH there that they were burning off the suspension when i was there saturday and the truck looked road worthy and had new brake chambers on it. Last year i seen a R model up there with a v8 in it, i feel dumb for not pulling it out so someone could use it. Rudy
  19. I would get the hole cab but I'm buying a house so I got to save on the cash right now, this always happens when I don't have time or money.
  20. So I went to the ez pull junk yard in New Ringgold pa last weekend and came across a sad site of 3 MB cabs sitting in the stones. One was completely beat and the other 2 were in nice shape, one of them was worthy of saving but I just don't have the room right now. I looked around for the chassis buy they must of cut them up and just left the cabs for some reason. I did however score a vary nice black steering wheel and a head light trim ring off the better of the 3 cabs. The yellow cab in the right picture only had rust on the driver side floor bord. Rudy
  21. wow 800,000 that's a lot of driving , they must have really put those trucks together well. I mean body and chassis wise too for all that bouncing in those mb's lol Rudy
  22. There is 2802.2 in hours on the gauge now and I was told that's the second hour meter in that truck so its kind unknown. The truck did see a lot of fire in its day not so much anymore. Rudy
  23. A friend of mine is a PA dot state trooper and he told me as long as the truck is under 26001 there would not be a problem, but I'm thinking of getting a class b just to be on the safe side with all this. Rudy
