  2. I only ever seen one picture of a h81 there a vary neet looking truck for sure.
  3. I'm still in the hunt for a Mack MB tractor single or tandem axle. I know these trucks are in most cases shot but hoping somone knows where one is sitting. The truck don't have to be in show condition just have solid sheet metal around the windshield and drip edge around top of cab and hopefuly have a title or some type of paper work to it . I'm looking to spend 2 or 3 grand depending on condition and distance from home. If anyone has any leads let me know. Thanks Rudy
  4. zinks dad been driving since the 50s and he always likes to talk about oil trucks and the one day he was telling me about the either balls he said they were like a paint ball you put one in that cap and there was a pin in there then you pushed down popping the ball letting a little either in for a cold start.
  5. I guess the days of all mack departments are long gone. It will be a sad day when our 78 MB getts replaced. What make trucks has your dept been replacing the macks with? Rudy
  6. your right I never realized that it was upside down lol . I pulled one off a b61 I stripped but the realized it was real thin in spots.Thanks for your imput. Rudy
  7. I'm new to this also, but make sure it has a title. One pricy thing on these b models are the wing Windows or vent Windows see what shape they are in because its going to take a few bucks just to get those redone. Like the other guys said look for the amount of missing parts also. Rudy
  8. sorry for the delay. The crossmember is 32 inches in with.

Dose anyone know if there are any companys still macking the rear crossmember for the b models im sure there were other model macks that used the same member, mine is beat hard no comming back for it. let me know if theres any thing out there or if anyone has a used one laying around.   10. after I asked that question last night I found a thread asking if a 711 Jake brake would work on a 673 and the guys were saying the 2 valve engines used the same jake. Thanks for.your imput. Rudy

  13. No im not in a big hurry i know theres a few other people looking for the fenders like i am. D you mean meet up as in being able to bring the parts down here or just to talk about what parts im after. Im about 15 min away from easton so yeah we could mmet up. Thanksrudy

  17. Hey Leon I'm on the look out for head gaskets for my 711 also I'm going to stop by a local NAPA store that is vary good with finding stuff like that ill let you know what I come up with. Is there a short video on YouTube of your truck ?

  19. Superdog would any of the Mack v8s fit under my hood and would it bolt to my quad box. I was told it can be done but I would have to use a bigger radiator. Thanks Rudy
  20. Thanks superdog for setting me straight on that, I guess if I go with a engine up grade I should look for a end673c those were turbo right ?
