  1. Now you can change the name from "Killer B" to "Silent But Deadly". I, for one, would enjoy seeing pictures of how the new resonator sounds.
  2. I'm pretty sure Detroit Diesel and Allison had already done whatever it was that they did to become DDA by the late 60's or very early 70's. Maybe the Allison name was on the GM Turbines?? Johnstown sounds familiar. Is there an egg farm there?
  3. Is that a horn ring on the steering wheel? If so, was that common on Hendricksons or just an aftermarket thing?
  4. That first one could even be a Flexi-Van rental. Looks like the fenders are light in color and the hood is dark. And it's probably file footage. I hope you folks don't get hammered as bad as they're saying. It think it's about time Mother Nature cut you Northeasterners some slack.
  5. Looks great. Just the right amount of chrome and that small amount of pinstriping really dresses it up.
  6. Glad to help, assuming I did that right.
  7. That would've explained it, but nothing is listed in my "topics I'm following". It's not happening any more and to be honest, I enjoy trying to solve these little mysteries, provided I don't need to be smarter than a fifth grader to do so.
  8. I found a calculator and had to convert some numbers and came up with this. BTW, I'm bored out of my mind. 11.00 in = 279.4 mm I found 2 websites that list the aspect ratio of tubless tires as 98-100% With those numbers I come up with the following: 11x22= 43.56 to 44 in. 11x24= 45.56 to 46 in. http://www.wallaceracing.com/tire-aspect-calc.php
  9. I'd be on the phone with the next mill down the road.
  10. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. Those had to be some of the best looking trucks in the east back then, and you could spot them a mile way.
  11. Ouch, that sucks.
  12. Mr. gin from Nigeria is looking at these most recent posts and thinking W...T...F? Prolly didn't need to ban him. Seeing the great minds of BMT in action woud've eventually scared him off.
  13. Is that you? YOU'RE FRIGGIN' HOT!! I mean that in a.....most masculine way....of course.
  14. No problem. You were at the front door dealing with picture-takers and this guy sneaked in the back door. Thanks for dealing with this. Now quick, get back to the front door!
  15. As far as I know, Hank is not as involved with the forum as much as the Moderator, Rob Archer. I'm surprised to see that the view count is up to 135 and the reply count still stands at 5. I wonder if they are just ignoring it and hoping it will go away. Rob does an excellent job of maintaining order over there and it's unusual to not see him reply to that thread, unless of course he's away somewhere and not accessing the site.
  16. That's not the first time that guy has gone off some rant after completely missing the point. I once posted a question regarding an LTL rate and his reply something to the effect of me being responsible for rates being in the toilet. He then called me and the Moderator on Hank's....wait for it....wannabe's. He knows everything about everyone and compared to him, you ain't done shit.
  17. Oh, I could drive it, but I doubt I could get stopped.
  18. I got a reply: "if u dont have what i am looking for just die" Seems a bit drastic. On Let's Make A Deal, Monty Hall would simply go to another member of the audience if you didn't have what he was looking for.
  19. I got the same message. I reported it and told Mr. Okeechobee that spammers are not permitted on this web site.
  20. And not nearly as sticky!
  21. There is a thread on Hank's forum titled "Watt's Mack site". It's had 83 views to date and only 5 replies from 3 members. Apparently they don't even want to discuss this amongst themselves.
  22. I wonder if they had to dodge rolled-over Pelletier trucks back then.
  23. Cool photos. We had just moved to another house on Long Island and my Dad's Diamond Reo and rented trailer was backed up to the front door when the storm hit, and thats where it stayed for the better part of a week. He had planned to be off anyway but by the time he was ready to hit the road again we had made little headway in clearing a path to the street. It was probably 4-5 days later when we had a plow come in and clean it up and things were still a mess.
  24. I used to particpate on that site quite often but that changed when I began to spend more time on BMT. There is a level of knowledge, wit, and pervertedness on here that is unmatched on any other truck related forums. I could visit both but interacting with you clowns on an almost daily basis is rather time consuming as I sometimes have trouble keeping up.
  25. I thought it was because I'd been up all night after a 2 hour nap, but it's happening on all 5 computer screens that I'm viewing at the moment. I wonder where the other 4 came from?
