  1. Looks great. Nice contrast between the colors.
  2. Suits my personal taste just fine-it stings a bit but the flavor is not overwhelmed by the heat. I've tasted some where you might as well just take a lit match to your tongue. All heat and no flavor.
  3. Welcome! I recognize that Century from some chemical company. Got any Volvo pics? OMG I can't believe I just asked that.
  4. You need to put a pee bottle by your bed. You can't be taking any more chances of breaking another bottle of hot sauce falling and hurting yourself. What the hell is wrong with you that stuff is priceless! Glad your okay, that's what is most important.
  5. Nice pair. So, the Superliner has to be moved to get the B model out. It must be hard to just park it across the street once your in it and rolling. Nice pair. Nice pair. For the under age crowd.....
  6. That truck is cat powered, I can see it from here. The dual stacks look good behind the Fleetstar cab. I couldn't tell you which months but Hendrickson's have won the TOTM or Runner-up honors a few times in Overdrive. They were all based in the Great Lakes region.
  7. Very nice and clean, and the sideways pic of the radio worked out well, too!
  8. Are those flames I see or is someone gooseing the throttle of an R model?
  9. I had things under control until the various (your state here) Macks threads started popping up. I'm just too damn nice a guy to work within these limitations.
  10. The BRM trucks used to have Harmony on the door but it was quite a drive north on 19 from town. Portersville would make more sense. Youngstown is comparable in size to BRM. The Cleveland trucks used to have Bedford Heights on the doors and the Crafton trucks had Pittsburgh. They eliminated the city names when the Talon logo was updated.
  11. She suffered burns after trying to use the exhaust stack as a dance pole.
  12. Interesting choice of words, I didn't even have to do any creative editing. TIP: When you begin to feel dizzy, take a break.
  13. That Acme store is a real blast from the past! I heard Wile E. Coyote shops there.
  14. Mine is ex-Talon P638. The first night out I was heading up I-79 and P633 was getting on at Crafton with a running reefer. I had just under 12 bushel in a dry box and he blew my doors off on the small hill heading up to Mt Nebo Rd. I need to get to the bottom of this. Butler Refrigerated Meats had an interesting fleet before GE standardized their it. White IH's with black spokes and at least half their trailers were stainless steel reefers with the logo and stripes from front to back. Pretty sharp. Useless Trivia> You can tell where each truck in the Talon fleet is based by looking at the letter in the unit number: P=Pittsburgh (Crafton) B=Harmony (BRM) C=Cleveland (Formerly ASF-Riser Foods) Y=Youngstown (Tamarkin)
  15. They've been 100% Volvo since the mid-90's when they started phasing out the U models. Poor Vinny would've overdosed if he'd been hanging around Crafton back then. The first Volvos (with the White Road Boss cabs) had OK Grocery on the door and I'm pretty sure the name changed while they were still on the road.
  16. That's a lot of innuendo crammed into 3 sentences.
  17. Okay not THAT much, but I only have to take it out in public when it's dark outside.
  18. Look at what all that epa crap mounted on the frame rails did to that wheelbase. It must be fun delivering to northeast supermarkets with that. Pitt Ohio has a multi-section air tank mounted vertically behind the cab and went with a smaller fuel tank on the side with the def tank to keep the wheelbase to a reasonable length.
  19. I've been house hunting but couldn't find listings for Winfall. I did find some in Wingina and the Real Estate Agent the name was pieced together from Winfall and Vagina. Sounds like a nice place. http://www.homes.com/Real_Estate/VA/City/WINGINA/ That's pretty impressive looking. Nice! Did you tell him about BMT? What route do the barges take to Lynchburg? I'm from Long Island, the lesser known one. I gonna have to speak to my Real Estate Agent again. That's what they refer to on the news as "storm preparedness" Awesome! Oh... She's up to no good. Mother warned me about those kinda girls. Almost heaven. Is that I-70 or I-470 in the background? That's quite inspiring but you must've left the doors open. I can still see the freight.
  20. Since most of you have figured out that the truck is in fact a Volvo, here's another view. It certainly won't win any beauty contests Anyone who has travelled through western PA, eastern OH, or northern WV will recognize this tractor in it's past life. It was formerly owned by talon Logistics, the trucking division of the Giant Eagle grocery chain. http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4037319
  21. I saw a dark colored Volvo in downtown Pittsburgh one night last week.
  22. Yep, things can always be worse. I understand my former employer still has a couple of R models running. I'm sure he'd let me run one for a day if I need a fix.
  23. The picture of your truck made me feel worse, but thanks anyway! That's some interesting info about the air leaks. These trucks have the VED 12 engines rated at 395 hp with 10 speed directs and 3.08 rears and are dogs on hills. Every one that has been put on the road so far seems to be lacking in low end torque. Mine has 652,000 miles on it and drives like a brand new truck. No drafts, wind noise, or rattles and the drivetrain and the suspension still feel very tight with the only exception being a worn out bushing causing excessive play in the shift lever which will be repaired at the next PM.
  24. Ours did not have the filler panels but the plug was also mounted below the driver's door. I don't think I could net as an O/O what I am earning as a company driver. I like what I do and I'm quite satisfied with the pay and benefit package, so I just take what they give me. We have a few old Visions and Sterlings at my terminal that I could drive, but they prefer to keep them local. The Volvo is actually my best option at the moment.
