  1. Holy crap, there's nine of them! (65) WattsMack (30) JD 5020 (70) Bollweevil (33) James B (30) chrisb427 (63) LarryS (45) cheinzle (46) DaveH250 (32) Karina Happy Birthday to all you guys, gals, and dealerships!
  2. Sorry to hear about your woes gentlemen. My Father-in-law passed way in the summer but he was a stubborn one as far as wanting to continue to do things he shouldn't be doing. My Mother-in-law is now on her own in a senior apartment building but she respects her limitations and functions within them. We'd be a bit nervous if it were my FIL living on his own. I hope everyones medical and mechanical issues can be resolved quickly. Keep us updated.
  3. Turning`13, yeah that really sucks. I hope to see those girls again when it's time to wish us Happy Thanksgiving two thousand thirteen A.D. Happy New Year!
  4. That is a vey nice and organized gallery.
  5. Had to check them out after seeing that r model. There's a CH on their home page and a few more pics in the slideshow at the top. http://www.boughtonmaterials.com/index.html
  6. It's as if the seller was trying to sabotage his own listing. Lose the Paccar reference and watch the bids go through the ceiling!
  7. Nice to see before and after pics.
  8. Might have had a different outcome if it wasn't so cold outside. It's hibernating season for bears.
  9. One of my favorite photos from my childhood is of me standing next to the right steer tire of a B model mixer. I wasas tall as the tire at the time. My dad lost all of the truck pictures from years ago but I'm hoping my cousin will have it her collection so I can snatch it up the next time I'm out on the island.
  10. Sure looks like it. It has the old Motorola 2-way radio also. There probably a bazillion of those sold to police & fire departments, cab companies, etc.
  11. In all fairness I've had no issues with state troopers, I've had speeding tickets in both Ohio an PA and the troopers were cordial in both circumstances. The PA trooper even bumped my speed down 6 mph to keep me out of more serious trouble (I was clocked at 71 in a 55 ) It was with locals and a few DOT officers that I've had issues.
  12. Oh man, that's it! Chrome bumper, black spokes, pinstripes, extra pipe out of the intake for the tip turbine. It don't get better than that! Now I'm just going to sit here and wait for my "likes" to reload........... ..............This is worse than sitting behind the wheel at a truckstop waitng for midnight to get hours back.
  13. That truck was geared to turn that trip in one day, hence the pay! When I was younger I would have jumped all over that just to drive that truck, and prolly keep coming back for more.
  14. I forgot about that one.
  15. I've asked this question a few times before with no luck but seeing those Autocars made me think of it again. Any of you CT folks remember a small company out of Hamden by the name of F. Corso? They weren't a construction company, they pulled reefers and the tractors were Brockways, red with green hoods. They also had at least one single axle B model because a friend of my Dad bought it from them. It was a sharp fleet in those colors and a little bit of chrome.
  16. That's interesting info about the B-75. I wish I could read the name on the fire truck.
  17. I'm a truck driver today because my Dad was a truck driver. I'm not 100% sure about the doors. I thought it had the usual B model 1/2 doors but when I saw that truck in the video, I assumed it was the one from my childhood. Maybe it isn't, that was an awfully long time ago.
  18. Possibly tan or light brown ?
  19. Yep, 3 more good looking classics.
  20. Sorry about your Dad. I thought that was the Westbury B model that I would see in the late 60's, but Westbury owns it now?
  21. Same here. It's good to see yet another group of constuction truck photos from a major city.
  22. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger. You learned two things from this: What your truck can and cannot not do under those conditions and what to do if you find yourself in a similar situation in the future. I'd say it was a productive day. I thought this was heading in that direction. The lucky part was that the trooper actually cancelled the wrecker and then left.
  23. He does look like he's ready to go to work.
  24. Real working pictures, I think that adds to their value.
