  1. I pass a sign on my daily commute to work that reads "Brake Retarders Prohibited". I would hope so!
  2. Thank God! If modern trucks are included, the Ford CL9000 was a tall drink of water. The Corbett reminds me of these guys:
  3. I'll go with the majority -stock with mild, functional upgrades.
  4. Good times.... But it does offer daily opportunities to park your car, depending on your direction of travel and the time of day. Why do so many people deal with that congestion every day when there are so many roads that lead nowhere and have less traffic?
  5. What ever happened to those Doublemint commercials?
  6. I guess I'll have to go somewhere else if I want to lick oil. Yeah, but all 3 trucks come with new starter fluid
  7. Sight?? I screwed that one up all by myself without the help of a spellchecker.
  8. I thought I had read somewhere that it had a 350 Cummins, but the model # and pics in this article show that it was clearly a Maxidyne 300.
  9. That's deep, man.
  10. Or practice squealing like a pig.
  11. Thanks. The only place I'd ever seen them was on I-80 or I-95 heading east in the morning
  12. There's another now defunct ltl from the tri-state area. A lot of regional freighthaulers serviced that area back then.
  13. At least you had the sense to elect a designated picture-taker.
  14. Anyone remember a company from Sparta that pulled dumps with F model sleepers? The tractors were gray with red fenders and bumpers. I think the name was Zahn or Dahn?
  15. The ulsd where I work has an additive but I don't know exactly what it is. We had single digit temps a few nights this past week with highs in the teens. No gelling issues with the trucks that run day and night or the ones that sit at night. Now ya got me feelin' suspicious. I'm gonna have to go door to door and see if any of my neighbors answer to "Softy".
  16. I agree. It's nice that you are able to give the drivers the same well deserved recognition as the trucks.
  17. Words you don't often hear on this sight, but we need to make an exception in this case.
  18. I like that last one, it even has a white steering wheel.
  19. Not offering her a ride was the responsible thing to do. The road ahead of you requires your full, undivided attention with no distractions.
  20. She would prolly only last a second before falling on her face.
  21. Happy Birthday, Al! Take it easy today. Sit back, relax, and post as many pics of Chicago R models as your heart desires.
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. This is a bit hard to read, but it might help you. http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/mack/mack_spec_sheets/mack_u600t_spec-sheet/
  24. He slipped and fell when he jumped out of the car. The pic prolly could've waited until he got up.
