  1. You almost have to get out and look before crossing the tracks, that's a lotta real estate between you and the dog! I'd love to have a square hood in front of me again now that I'm not having to squeeze a 65 foot truck into docks that were designed in the 1930's.
  2. That's a nice set of pictures. The dump shot shows it posing for the camera while it appears to be working in the other two shots. Proof again that an R model is always comfortable in it's surroundings.
  3. We had a family of 7 sharing ONE telephone. Oh the humanity!!!
  4. I grew up in the suburbs and there is another form of communication I remember. It was a female voice, in high pitch and at full volume, screaming (your name here). This usually occurred around dinner time and could be heard within a several block radius, at least you hoped it could for your own sake. Try to raise a child today under the circumstances we grew up with and you'd be considered an unfit parent, yet I can't think of another era I would've rather been born in. The 60's and 70's were a great time to be a kid.
  5. Nice collection of non-bulldogs, gentlemen. When I sleep like that my collar pinches my neck. Synchronized panting. That's a neat trick. The dark one looks very "playful" in that second picture. I'd wanna stay on his good side.
  6. Years ago I prolly would've just put a bag over her head, which is why I quit drinking. That's you, isn't it.
  7. Is that piece you are holding supposed to be grounded or is it tethered to keep it from falling off?
  8. That garage looks more like a museum with the classic Anco Wiper display and the candy & Pepsi machines. I'm surprised to see the mid-70's Chevy Scottsdale also has some rust........
  9. Just copy and paste his !'s and add one more. I wouldn't trust anyone on here to count that high.
  10. Are you sure you weren't watching the Randyp show? What you folks are describing is why I sometimes go for more than a week without ever looking at a TV. There was a higher quality and wider variety of programming when all we had was 3 national networks, 2 independents, and a PBS station. You didn't need a remote control because there was less of a desire to change channels.
  11. The driver of the big red truck is out of the Pittsburgh terminal. He's about 66 years old and has been with the company for 65 years. His son is the p&d planner at my terminal. Lorillard makes Kent, Old Gold, Newport, True, and Maverick cigs. I've never heard of them but then again, I don't smoke. If THAT guy can get THAT girl, there may be hope for me yet. I'm out of likes.
  12. Nice save! Good luck with it. The first time I saw those stripes from the factory was on a Transtar II and then they started showing up on used Ryder Transtars and Astros with white steel buds and black fuel tanks. Any chance your '74 had been repainted?

  14. What a pleasant surprise. I was expecting New Brunswick, NJ.
  15. It probably fell back into the clouds since snow doesn't actually stick to the ground. Thanks for the pic Brad. Australia's highways look the same as ours. Thus ends my upside-down picture jokes.
  16. Well that's silly. I have a question: If a question is not asked, is it still a question?
  17. Hmmm...lets see. Before your birthday U were 12 and now.......Damn, OD was right! U are older and wiser!
  18. That's more than just shameless, it's downright.........damn that's a good looking truck.

  22. That's quite a feeling to reach the end of your shift and think "I had a great day at work". Did you have to go through all the usual Customs nonsense?
  23. Welcome! Our silly answers outnumber the silly questions 2 to1 so ask away. We have some catching up to do.
  24. Happy Birthday! I almost loaded my pants when I heard it was your big day! I got Hatcity covered for you since I know how much you like that gif.
  25. I was gonna say it looked like it did a mid-air triple sau cow, but Dubois Livestock also does demolition work. I'll say a wall of a structure fell on it. In happier times: http://www.duboislivestockandexcavating.com/
