A couple of things on pictures:: After I joined for either $75 or $90 I have not had any problems.. Another way is to use the free Postimage.com or establish a free Flicker account.. either way I have had NO Problems from my desk top computer, BUT you will have to check with others about from your phone?? -

Congratulations!!! And welcome to BMT .. As asked before what part of Calif???? Get it cleaned up and post more pictures and we can help better..BMT has some connections out there, thinking Norm Taunton in Galt CA?? Depending on what you want to use it for that 864 would be all right for a hobby truck, BUT if you plan to work it some you might think about upgrading it??? -
It finally came to me::: The Hogs Breath Saloon, Rockhampton, QLD, AU..

During our 2015 Down Under tour of Australia as our bus was approaching Rockhampton our lady bus driver knew of a famous pub, which I can not remember the name of, and the tour director was able to make reservations and the bus driver was able to park close by and they fed the 30 of us some of the best steaks, which they called Prime Rib, we had ever had.. By this time we had made good friends with her and needless to say her steak went on one of our bills!! Ironically the next day at Tony Champion's she met some people she knew, and by the time the trip was over she was fully diagnosed with "Tired Iron Fever"!! Part of her tip was a years membership to both ATHS and ATCA..

I have learned to like my steaks closer to medium than medium well.. A lot more tender!! I Had a friend who like very rare beef.. We were in a group at a fairly fancy restaurant, well on the way of being very tipsy, when the waitress asked how he wanted his steak he said " trim its horns, wipe its a$$, and walk it in" She never batted an eye.. As she was serving us our dinners, the chef walked in with a totally RAW steak on the plate and asked him if he "would like it warmed up?" As the rest of us were laughing our a$$ off his wife was ready to kill him!!!!

Where to start restoration
Brocky replied to Bradf's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Brad, Welcome back!!! All of the above comments from August are applicable.. Give it a good bath and then take a LOT of pictures: fenders, cab corners, engine (looking for obvious leaks), frame (single or double?), interior, ETC. and post them here for comments. Since you are in Iowa make an appointment with the Iowa 80 restoration shop, behind the museum, or Lee Snyder northwest of Des Moines (if he is still alive?) and ask them to give you some advise and some rough ball park pricing of having it restored VS a Do It Yourself job. I do not know what Mike Harbison Jr is doing with his fathers collection of about 200 Macks in Rising Sun?? I would put a bar on the engine to see if it turns over rather than try to start it first. -

MAYBERRY TRUCK SHOW
Brocky replied to 1961H67's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I am glad they finally attracted some Antique / Historical vehicles.. I have never driven the long 4 hours up to that show as I had heard it primarily caters to the Show and Shine crowd. Our chapter VP, Jack Ledford, always goes up. -

I am planning on Cherokee also. Probably will not take the Diamond T?? That way I do not have to be as early and stay as long. Also will not need an expensive motel room in the area!!! -
Back in the late 60's going north on I-81 in Syracuse NY in a C-800 city tractor, I had two women in a big old 3 row station wagon decided she did not want to get off in the Exit Only lane she was in!! Cut in front of me and I jumped on the brakes!! I can still see the looks on the faces of the kids facing and looking out the back window.. Luckily I got slowed enough to let her go and she probably never Knew how close she came to killing her three kids.

Thanks for the pictures!!! What is the body on the Western Star with 4 lift axles????????? Would like to have seen the back..
