  2. 51ljsw: check engine serial numbers to see if they put them down as serial numbers.I know of two more trucks in wash. that this was the case.one even put the year of truck down as serial number in Wash.the trouble is or was people couldnt relate chassis number to serial number and when they seen SERIAL on engine plate thats what they used.check engine serial plate number to your registered one.then tell me where in Wash. are you.

  4. Watching PIX 11 news from NY every nite you guys must be cooking.Humidity is so high with the heat.Jodi and Mr G hit it on the head .Its nice to be cool out here.75 with low humitity.Feel sorry for New Yorkers if any power failure

  7. with the old(1960's)90W gear oil when it got hot it was still thick and didn't leak the new stuff 80-140 or such numbers is like water when hot and comes out any where like water finds the path of least resistance.there is a addative for auto tranys that stops seal leaks that I know works but dont know if it would work in rear ends.worth a try.

  10. mine would be a 1974 Hayes HDX 1000.Powered by a 525 Cummins KTA,6061 Allisson power shift,Clark BD 91000 rears@ 13.298 to 1.1400x25 Michilin H block tube less tires.Drove it for 27 years.Average 120 tons per load twice a day.
  11. out here where the trucks are hauling LOGS they were Mack yellow or school bus yellow.they are easier to see in the woods just before they ran over you.pastel colors ard hard to see on the highways here coming out of the shade and into sunlight.

Daveigou: I drove a Pacific P16w with a 3412 in it coupled to a Allison 6061 6 speed power shift and rockwell 132000 rears.They were rated at 650 hp.Looked like a Big Boy locomotive when you punched the throttle.We had them made for pulling 3 100 ton plusloads of logs 20miles at 6% adverse(old railway grade).No problem with this kind of power.No end to it.Theres pictures of them on Hankstruckpictures.M&B's H 92 ,93,94.Bob D

  15. the B422 had the 431 0r 454 OHV engine.Not the flat head.

Burninoil:If you take a rod journal off and measure width to see if you have new style or old style crank.just check with Mack dealer parts dept and they will be able to tell you.We have a endt block that they kept into a end somewhere along the line.I havent checked out pump numbers to see which pump they used.Bob D

Does anyone know what happen to all or any distributares of Phil Baumgartens repros of Mack and Cummins things.I have catalogue of items from AC plaques to Ls and Bs emblems.Cummins Cross's to Red Ball brass plates, Power By Cummins Diesel ID plates.They were made in Hong Kong and were good quality.My cat is dated with 1989 priceing but inflaction would be higher now.Bob D
  18. Mike: We have the two only remaining MARTIN MARS troop carriers now water bombers here on Sproat Lake.Vancouver Island B C .Maybe you've seen them.Look like a elephant in the sky they are going so slow.Real beautys though.

  20. That same bunch off scumbags shut down a lot of logging in wash.,and ore. because of the spotted owl then came to B.C. canada and tried to shut down a lot of our logging which is what built pacific northwest.
  21. yes thats a B 80 rad.shutters look like they've been replaced by bug screen.Not factory opption but looks like owner did a nice fit.I don't think thats Mr Cockron's old one.I think it had the B615 V8 rad.

  23. I take it it's for a 707 gas in a fire truck?Will any other OHV mack engine ones work?
