  1. ap40rocktruck:I see you too have a LJSWX.Don't think I've seen a picture of it or chassis number.I'll have to get some more detailed pictures of the HDX's my son is building.Have a great time this weekend.Pix 11 news Mr G says it's going to be sunny on saterday.
  2. Looking for AMT's electric right hand door ad on window winder.seen them advertised in 70's.Any worling ones left around.They were bolted? to window winder shaft.
  3. 41chevy: valuble info.see there are a few BMTs who also build models.I have them all from when Revell first brought out KW Bekins van in 50s.also all my old toy trucks and Reuhl Cat from 1950 (1/25) so fits perfect on AMT lowbed made into 2 axle.No 3 axles in those days.also heavy into H O rail.The bigger the engine the better.BigBoys,Cabforwards,Mountains,looking for Selkirk 2-10-2 or 4-10-4.
  4. they were also used on wood chip trailers,gravel trailers,etc. for dumping trailer.they worked untill they brought out taking whole truck and trailer up on hyd ramp.they were advertised in late 40s early 50s with LJ macks as the truck.

  10. that spray can called PB is it penatrating oil and if so is it any good. I haven't seen it here in Canada.
  11. well I hope the ratings are wrong when they say B O is ahead or tieed.Time polititions both here and there take pay cuts and get in line for Dr's and hospital beds.O B Care doesn't effect them as it will the general public.
  12. maddog:there were a lot of soft noses made out west.B72,B73 etc.Made in Hayword Calif.with flag ship cab.very popular out here.
  13. rare indeed only 522 made.same design set up as 9 fire trucks built B21's.they hade the Hall-Scott engine and U S Navy had some B70's with same front end.they too mat have had Hall-Scotts in them
  14. my friend seen it all and said there were lots of Macks in it.he said he thought he worked on the docks.called the HUCKSTERS if any one knows how to get it through a vidio store.

  16. that load is mostly balsom and hemlock which is heavy wood.those are 12 ft. bunks so that load would weight about 50 to 60 tons maybe even close to 70
  17. no thats a Savoy or some other model.The FURY was a 2dr hardtop with big gold band full length down the side.very classy and a rare one to have today.

AP40: yes they were yellow.chain drive 1400x24 wheels and tires,15-1 ratio,275 supercharged Cummins with straight stack.no ear protection in those days but the more noise the more power.4x3 trans.they all had the square front fenders but don't know if they were factory ordered or made at the dealers or box factory.Boxes were made in vancouver B.C. ribbing on boxes was all railway track.we still have a box here.
  19. John:thanks for the info on Stan's truck.I take it you have a LM and if so what is chassis number.I picked up a chassis plate at a swap meet one tine and it is LM2DM 2082 D.It's not made out of alum but steel.I think it's war time one.
