  1. Looks like you should be test driving the old girl by Sunday. You should buy you some slicks so you can take her back to the track.
  2. He is getting big. Looks like he is following in Grandpas footsteps.
  3. Nice save. Is that you with the smile so wide you could eat a banana sideways??
  4. Barry what is the best way to upload content. Unless I am missing something I cant load a picture directly to a thread with out first uploading it to my gallery. I have some more Bull Dog Mags to upload and don't want all that stuff in my gallery. The system already say that I am 135% over my limit. BTW I still do not have email notifications
  5. perfect picture Macks will always be hauling the off brands to the junk yard for years to come!
  6. Not sure what money that is but if that is Australian dollars that is one expensive old worn out truck. The money calculator say it is just under $60K.
  7. Welcome Thanks for the additional pictures. I really like to see old trucks working. Here in the US some upgrade truck components and suspension but most find it cost prohibitive to keep working trucks that old. Also the safety laws make an old truck that works a "Police Magnet" I bought a 1968 F model from a guy for that reason. He used it on the Farm and although it was safe it looked to old and the truck cops always pulled him over so after getting stopped a few times in one one week he decided to stop running it.
  8. I found from the keyword Installing Windshield B61 If I did it right this should link to the thread. Installing Windshield B61
  9. I did a post on replacing a B windshield couple years ago I talked about the strip and had measurements of the replacement strip.
  10. Those are some neat old trucks. I do not know if those were military exports or some other export trucks but they sure are in good shape and neat to see they are still in use. I like the looks of first green one with the add on sleeper.
  11. If you like the truck just repower it with something more common.
  12. Congratulations. Looks like a pretty decent save and appears from the pictures to be in good shape.
  13. My rule of thumb is if the lock ring is damaged or the rim it is junk. I know some of the old stuff is a gamble when you buy them that is why I always try and get it as cheap as I can or try and make a deal that if it is no good I am not going to pay and they will get it back. I also only buy rims with mounted tires at least that way chances are they are a matched set. In the past I have dropped them off to shops and painted the ring and rim to know what ring goes with what rim. I have gone to pick up rims to take to sand blast and everything is in a pile, but because they were marked not a big deal. I personally clean the lips and inspect the rings and rims then if I don't like the looks of things they go in the scrap pile. Once you clean the lip and inspect them you can snap them together and sandblast them that way if you send them out since the lip and ring are cleaned.
  14. Sorry I am missing a 1. VIN# 1M2U215Y1FM001185 I called KC Mack they said it was built 11/84 so probably a 1985 Model year and they said it is supposed to be a RWL with E6-350. Could not say were it was built.
