Interesting. I never knew this. I never really paid any attention to MHs. In fact I can't recall ever seeing one up close in person. I have never cared for cabovers of any kind and truth be told If I was ever in the presence of an MH at a truck show I most likely walked past it without giving it much attention.

Looks cool and you seldom see a MH with that long wheelbase.

Fish belly frame rails is standard equipment for every MH and also 2nd series Superliners. The length of that higher section area is also standard no matter how long overall length of the chassis is. Those frames were made with very artificial front end either and looked like a high engeneering product. They also became the basis for the CL-series but to my surprize and missunderstanding next generations of the chassis (still Mack chassis not Volvo) for CH and CX got simple straight rails even without spread at the front.

Didn't they spread out in the front on the MH RW2 and CL700 ?   I kinda remember if they had a liner (double frame) it was the same size as the back up to around the rear front spring hangers and rear motor mount area .

That would be a good retirement gig for you.  Being its a grain truck it probably only operates for a month or two during harvest in the fall. You could show up and be this guys wheelman for a few weeks then go home. From what I hear anymore these big farms are hurting for help especially around harvest. Honestly he’s probably dumping it because nobody can or wants to drive a manual anymore.

Yeah you're right Mark.  My understanding was they had the frame spread out up front to accommodate the E9 V-8.

One thing about the MH/RW2/CL frames....they were very odd compared to the rest of the Mack lineup of models.
