I've heard referred to as a "jitter bug" To me ? the jitter bug looked a lot like one of those steps that went over a tire for when working on a truck. The mason would go over the screeded concrete (sorta like an old dude with a walker) kinda lightly stamping it. It left a finish on the concrete that looked like that.
