Well, it hasn't had much work done, but I did get the oil pan gasket scrapped off the block yesterday.  I basically rolled the block on its side to make it much easier on myself.

Still waiting on friend to get some time to pull the liners for me.  I will start pushing him more now that the weather is starting to turn.  I am making slow headway on cleaning the block with wire brush, rags, and solvent.

I did get new bushings installed in clutch housing, along with new shafts so it works really smooth.  Now to get it bolted back to transmission.  I want to get it inside for the winter.  Might stack it on the back of the truck to keep it out of the way.  I am very space limited(ready that:too much shit).

Good to hear an update on this! I've got too many projects on the back burner as well, too busy in the summer and too cold in the winter lol

On the topic of gaskets anyone tried carbide scrapers for gasket removal? I've got an aluminum head that is being stubborn.

I used to get this stuff at grangers that you sprayed on a gasket, and it loosened it up so scraping it off was a lot easier cleaning the gaskets off cat aluminum oil pans were time consuming and the spacer plates also. I made real good gasket scrapers from the blades off the power hacksaw

I have some solvent that eats gaskets and sealers.  Get it from my local engine shop.  They use it exclusively.  Just melts crap away.  Can't recall name, have to look when I get home.  I thought it was Malco products?

I did use a carbide scraper on the gasket.  I have a razor blade holder but it always gets jammed up.  Just have to be careful with carbide as you don't want to gouge the surface if you get a little ever zealous.
