Washout at Macungie

We went over this morning, but never left the pickup. I wanted to do one more walk around at least, and get any pictures I might have missed, but instead of letting up it just rained harder and harder.

Trucks were already leaving when we got there, so after sitting in the pickup for an hour or 2 we just decided to go too. At first the weather ap said it was supposed to stop around midday, now it says 3pm. We've got to have Vicki from Florida at the airport at 4, so.

At least it was nice yesterday. I took a lot of pictures, as usual, but I know I didn't get everything.

After we left the rain let up a lot, so we decided to head back to the park. Then it started pouring again, so we turned around again. 

We're done this time, a lot of trucks had left anyway. We have to take Vicki from Florida to the airport, then we'll be heading home.

feel bad for those such as mowerman (such a positive person )traveled so far .my  knees are so bad now I couldn't stay long enough at the Bethlehem CT show to see the entire round up last week. sorry people . gave strong thoughts to going to PA (get away from !_you know LOL) . another cardio DR appointment this Friday. old age sucks

hey, I had a blast. It was short but sweet lots of good food. Lots of conversation hundreds of trucks. I got pretty much an Eye full  yesterday and talked to a lot of people. it was still well worth a trip plus the rain out  gave me a chance to visit the museum ..tomorrow. I’m gonna walk around Allentown fairgrounds check out the old park maybe buy some fresh fruit and head back to the airport. I did go back to the show and spend 2 1/2 hours or so wasn’t so much the rain by then it turned to sprinkle, but the ground was a sloppy mess. Got another nice sausage sandwich and bought some more goodies from watts  tent and said hi to Barry. And Tom, I told them you had planned to go in there but got to rained out.

Thanks for the tip, BUT I DO NOT do Farcebook.. They told me my account had been hacked and wanted a selfie video of my face to continue.. Jeff  Lakazcychak posted on JOT that he put 30+ pictures on Farcebook also.

Facebook uses algorithms to decide who gets to stay and who goes, there are no human beings you can call when you have a problem. My brother got kicked off and he did absolutely nothing wrong. The sad thing is we're turning control of our world over to these machines.

Ya right you know all this jazz about protecting your  transactions I don’t think anything is really safe. McAfee, for example, can notify you if there’s an issue but they can’t really prevent it. What’s scary I am hearing people can go in there and take your property without you even knowing it that’s scary.

Some of those a-holes never give up either- scammers that is. I was just telling freightrain the other day, I used to get mail in Gladys addressed to my wife Becky, and I moved to Gladys right after she passed away- in 2005. Then me and my present wife, Zina from Florida, moved back to Appomattox, we have a Spout Spring address, and I STILL get mail addressed to Becky, and she never lived in Gladys or Spout Spring. It's all junk mail, Medicare plans, car extended warranty, etc. No matter what it is, it goes straight in the burn barrel because she doesn't live here. Same as the junk mail I get addressed to Willaim, if it said Willaim won the lottery I'd still throw it in the burn barrel.

I'm just about an hour north of Macungie and the rain here seems like it hasn't let up for months. The outlet of my drain tile that is under my upper yard is flowing like crazy, and I had to put a pump in the shop because the floor kept flooding. I've been here 10 years, and I've never had a water problem like this

My backyard is so soft, and I have to cross it with the loader to haul in a new round bale this coming week I think I will get a couple of square bales and cut the strings and throw them in the bale ring. I have lived in this house for about 50 years, and I can't remember the area being this wet so late in the spring I'm worried my friend will get in enough round bales for me for over the winter and they are calling for wet weather for most of next week. I haven't even uncovered my fishing boat yet. I haven't even taken my 31 model A coupe out for a ride yet.

As always, it was great to see everyone there. I think this is the first year we didn’t do a group mug shot in front of Watts. Sandy and I left around 2:30 after being damp for way too many hours. I did get some pics and a few mud videos. I have to check out a Yardo’s recover ones on Facebook.
