Nobody454
easy off oven cleaner...really...you'll have to experiment, usually takes lettering and pinstripe off and leaves the factory paint alone
tjc transport
easy off over cleaner. put it on the letters and let it sit for 20 minutes or so. mowerman
I have done it with lacquer thinner before… but the oven cleaner is probably a lot less worrisome ha ha bob
yarnall
My father always uses polish or rubbing compound. It does leave a ghost of it and I’m sure takes off the base paint around it. Mike

mechohaulic
never did the oven cleaner, imagine it's trial and error depending on how much / thick letters etc are. first trip cleaning doesn't do 100% , a second soaking safe? how close to the 20 mins +-
Bbb1
Ohhh it was right in that time frame, these were thick letters so it took a bit, I would try a corner with a old Bondo putty knife that's what I used to wipe them off as it is plastic and didn't tear up the red underneath.. now its move on to finding parts, wanna dual stack and start buying aluminum wheels and conversion hubs.. I'm making a list and checking it twice haha
