An Alcoa All Aluminum Autocar?

I always heard it was hard, back in the day, for paint applied to aluminum to last very long. Formulations have changed with time but many of today's commercial aircraft, for instance, are wrapped with polymer advertising condoms instead of paint. Same with commercial trucks except the condoms are square or rectangular.

This one (1973? ACar) was around a while ago. The chassis appeared to be a mix of aluminum rails and steel cross members for some reason. Don't understand why the Aluminum Chassis attracts ladders though. Paul
