  1. I'm no grammar expert, but that sounded like you didn't want the truck. Mike is in your part of the country. He might be able to use it.
  2. They (Internationals) all look the same to me.
  3. I'll bet that 285 with a straight pipe under load sounded as good as it looks.
  4. UPS would also have painted mirrors and bumper. No bulldog, airhorn, or "MACK" on the grill.
  5. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Really depends on the condition and current market. Look at the recent auction thread. My guess would be 10 to 20K. A steel dash DM800 with a OEM Cummins would be a DM865. There were only 25 built. Gary Mahan has VIN 1001. I have VIN 1002.
  6. If you can't cage the maxi, Build up your air, have someone release the brakes and back off the slack adjuster. Just don't mess with the bands that hold the cans together. If they are real rusty (like everything in NY) be careful handling them after removal as they could come apart on their own if you drop them.
  7. It's one of the best motors ever built. Probably governed at 1800 rpm. You will need to get used to driving it.
  8. When I removed the dogs from my '67 DM800 there were no gaskets.
  9. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
  10. Can you shift with your left hand?
  11. A 12V71 in a 600 would take out the passenger seat. Interesting pintle hook and steps on the tank.
  12. Thanks for posting Tom. I couldn't make it up there.
  13. Just noticed this truck on this site......... flickriver.com/photos/jackbyrneshill/sets/72157626578920961/
  14. You need to find out what transmission you have. There is a big difference between a direct and a 2050.
  15. Congratulations Randy. I now understand why you didn't jump on the Western F I found for you.
  16. He's either lying, doesn't give a shit, or is in way over his head.............
