  1. Any idea why the Superliner was excluded though?????
  2. I've been perusing Western Mack pics now that I'm the proud owner of a '80 RW, and one thing I've noticed that puzzles me and was hoping for some insights: All the WS Cruiseliner's I've seen have the Bulldog cradled in a horseshoe donning a (ridiculous or is it curious?) cowboy hat. Why is this not-so-subtle nod to the truck's Western (including the spurs) origins missing on all the Hayward built Superliners? Ron
  3. I understand now why they're no longer available.... many trucks probably didn't use them
  4. I'm here to say that those A model bunks are a nice look. Match the cab better, although the Able matches the nose. . .decisions decisions.
  5. That looks great to me. I think I actually like it better than an Able bunk.
  6. That yellow B is titties
  7. Best guess would be that those 'newer' bolts were used to replace broken bolts? I've heard that broken bolts have been a problem....
  8. Maybe they're just using up NOS military parts?
  9. What does it mean to you then that I only have three small ones on one head, and all the rest on the engine are the bigger ones? I'm still looking into some sort of furnace cement and wrap to stop exhaust leak, just can't bring myself to tear it all apart for one leak.... I know we discussed leaks before....
  10. So the smaller head(ed) bolt is the 'newer' or "older"?
  11. My engine has two different head bolts on one head. Can anyone explain why? You can see two smaller head(ed) bolts on the bottom, and a larger head(ed) bolt above to the right.....
  12. Was it green? --------------- I really need to read ALL the posts before I post a re-dumb-dent comment. ANYWAY, that green crackerbox sure caught a lot of eyes in PA. I only spotted it once, and he made quite an impression. Rainy night, he rolled off I79 South onto 208, empty. If it weren't for the lights of the Outlet Mall I wouldn't have had such a good memory.
  13. Did he sell it to Moose and Benji?
  14. that frame is pretty whack... but it has a WHITE steering wheel! That covers a multitude of sin. Maybe the aluminum is OK.... and the steel stretch was just for the bunk????
  15. . . . on a 100F day... with traffic..... and driver has to help skrete..... Back when men were iron and ships were wooden...
  16. Just does't make any sense to me. Am I wrong in thinking that all or most R's had this cylinder during the last 20 years of production?
  17. Damn. Don't all the R's have them? I thought they'd be dirt common.
  18. Part # is 20qe2211 Mack says its no longer available Opens the cowl vent on my Superliner for fresh air intake. Has 12v and air running to it.... but will not open. I mangled it. Any suggestions? I REALLY Really hate hearing from my Mack parts department that things are "Not even in the system any longer" Many thanks Love the site Ron
  19. I owned a 1993 w150 5 speed with the V6... it was a turd.... but I didn't mind it. I swapped a 318 into it.... super easy. What a truck then. Better power and mpgs.... loved that truck (Why'd I sell it????)
  20. Has else anyone tried the high temp furnace rope and cement with success? I'm thinking it would still need a clamp of some form to hold rope + silicon in place. I am concerned about tearing anything apart for fear of ruining something and/or creating a leak somewhere else. I spoke with Francis, and he said $1200 for complete exhaust parts.... but in the post right behind this one a guy said after he had his worked on it STILL leaked! I tried a cement for exhaust leak repair already.. it blew out 5 miles down the road.
  21. Cool... Does it have a white steering wheel?
