  1. I'd like to know the same thing... doesn't seem to be much info on them.
  2. That 1005 equipped Super was from VA.
  3. I get that one all the time too.... the 'url4short' business... pisses me right off.
  4. The guy told me you could never get the manifold pressure up on a 4 valve like you could on a 2v...
  5. Curious to hear from guys who've driven both the old 2 valve Macks and the 4 valve Macks. I'm talking mostly about multi-speed higher horsepower engines. Was there any real noticeable differences. I had a guy telling me that the old 2 valves would smoke 4 valves when the fuel was jacked up...
  6. Yeah, I was told to just keeper' topped off with Lucas stop leak.... But I actually don't know how bad it runs out... He claims its worse when you turn the wheel
  7. What is the Ross model number? Or should I just say a "Ross" pump for a Superliner 1?
  8. And how much GHG do passenger airplanes generate.... but people hate/fear trucks and LOVE to fly...
  9. Do you know for certain if parts for these old boxes are still around?
  10. If it run dry for very long, would it ruin the pump?
  11. Would you just run her home like leaking like that?
  12. Bought a Superliner 1 that is 900 miles away. Runs and drives well, but leaks power steering fluid at the box seal. Leak's pretty bad. I want to drive it home, not the least bit worried about manual steering, but I don't want to do further damage by running it dry. Guy I bought it off of offered to fix it before I took off, but I want to source parts and any info for him I can beforehand. So, two questions. Will I do any damage by just driving it dry? Second, Can someone get me a parts list for that box? My local Mack shop can't find anything on it anymore. (Thank you Volvo)
  13. I just bought a Superliner 1, haven't got it home yet... but may be interested. These fit all Superliner 1's?
  14. What is the difference between the 375 and the 325? pump settings only????
  15. I've seen them around working hard yet too... I don't know why they had such a bad reputation.....
  16. Caption under photo translates into "Traksomex, compiled from several types models Mack"
  17. I always think of Hemingway's "Farewell to Arms" when I see WWI military trucks... That bronze grill surround certainly seems out of place on a military truck. Too good of a target.
  18. That isn't the first Superliner Traxsomex I've seen either... There is a photo of a blue one in a book I have.... I'd like to know the production #'s on them.
