  1. I think this is why my turn signals don't work... Mack says its no longer available... Any suggestions?
  2. And it also helps to get a hold of an expired registration card, even if its Alabama.
  3. did you notice the hoods were all up...? looks like somebody pulled the engines.
  4. Where are you located? If you're in Western PA, Mike's Car Care (724)652-6244 in Edinburgh PA along 422,would be the place to start. Cathy is the notary, and she can make stuff happen. She'll tell you though, PA is one of the toughest states to deal with on title work.
  5. You'd think radiation was good for you the way this woman walks around.....
  6. Just to add my .02, I hauled heating oil with a single axle that had diff. lock.... it was awesome. Like four wheel drive. But don't try to turn! Could never understand why more single axles didn't have them.
  7. I think its cool.. if it was 25 year ago, but these rat rods are popping up all over the place. Points awarded on the engine and trans.... anything's better than a small block Chevy and a 700r4. Bet it rides worse than a buck board.
  8. Back in the day, Volvo built cars like Scania apparently builds trucks. You'd think Volvo trucks would be as good....
  9. Do owners of new Scania's in the EU have the troubles with new trucks the way we do?
  10. Its amazing how much history there is with one truck. This old girl has a lot in common with the late Joan Rivers.
  11. Any recommendations for the rubber buffer/bumper trim that runs around the cowl to cushion the hood? Mine has some cheap-ass stripping that is cracking and flopping all over the place. Seems there should be some good universal rubber strip that a guy could buy... and adhesive recommendation too???
  12. Yeah, I wondered why the steel frame when I was told it was a WL786LST. Who needs carfax?
  13. Here are all the part numbers necessary to fix input seal on those cursed axle mount Sheppard boxes. Note, these are only applicable to the lighter 392 series boxes used on 10,500-12,000lb axles: Mack part numbers: 8148-2370301 square O-ring $3 8148-2351251K hy-pressure input seal $30 8148-2350961 salt seal $9 8148-2351301 dirt seal $7 Save somebody a lot of time and grief with the counter VIN monsters..... Sheppard told me you could reuse the dirt salt seal if they aren't mangled or hard.
  14. Where is it? If there are no tags on the door(S), or seat frame... Is it located on the right frame above steer axle? I can't see a damn thing. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Applying for lost title and don't even have a VIN number! 1960 and a steel frame.
  15. Add another truck manufacturer to the long list of those who sourced the 'R' model IH cab. It certainly was popular in the fifties.
  16. I always liked the pedals in a General, very luxurious.
  17. I once stood at the traps at National Trails Raceway when the Top Fuels were running.... my eyeballs rattled in my skull, and it felt like an alien was clawing at my insides. Wicked doesn't begin to describe it. I was shell shocked after two runs.
  18. Yes, its home... leaked like a sieve the entire way. Sheppard guy tells me he needs more info. I know its a 392S, but the series number must be hidden behind that Mack specific pit man arm extension.
  19. Does anyone know if these Sheppard boxes are Series 3, 4, 5, or 6?
