  1. Very interesting story about the Lanova. I have a 672 Lanova in my 1950 Mack LFT. They type 75 would not have come with the Lanova. The 75 designation was specific for one engine. I’m pretty sure it got a different model number if it has a different engine. Mack was not building diesel fire trucks at that time. It is possible that this truck was built as a pumper tanker or maybe just a tanker but that is a little less likely. The Mack museum would be able to tell you that. Mack built most of there fire bodies themselves, but there were times when they sent the chassis to another body builder like Hahn for the body to be built, but they were still consider custom Mack fire apparatus. The fact that this one is a type 75 shows that it is one of these. Other vender would build fire bodies in commercial chassis but they would have a commercial serial number starting with E. mike
  2. Do you know Gary Mahan? He is the best person to start with. You can email him from their website. The Mahan Collection. let’s see some photos. Mike
  3. Thanks for the update. Will you have it at Macungie? I hope to see it. Mike
  4. Neat truck. It is a type 40. My father has a 1941 type 45. I do not know the difference. They are based on the small E model not A model. If you have not heard , you can get some of the information you need form the Mack museum. They work on donations. They are pretty backed up with requests.
  5. The Superliner hydroseeder looked great the last time I saw it about 10 years ago. No bids either. I’ll have to sign up and bid. I doubt it will sell cheap though.
  6. It’s been so long since we heard from you I thought you gave up on this project. I could bring you a cab if you want something to work on inside. I’ve heard you have experience with that. Mike.
  7. How much do you think it cost to make it look that nice?
  8. I see them on eBay every so often. None right now though.
  9. I think they were for salesmen. I have seen them with different slogans for different years. I have three of them.
  10. Where are you at Alexis? Tell us about yourself.
  11. Welcome to the forum. I have an 85LS pumper. The guy who rebuilt my water pump is no longer doing it but I have used Arthur Gould for a couple other truck. Mike
  12. I saw you have it listed for sale. I hope it can find a good home. It is way to nice to cut up. There are lots of tractors available in that price range. Mike.
  13. Nice truck. Yes. It has a short hood like a B67. My father has a B46 tractor. I think it has an EN464 in it. i agree with Vlad. It would be great if you left the truck intact. There are very few B model mixers in existence. It would be a shame to take this one apart. There are dozens of B61 tractors for sale. Sell this and buy one of them or keep this and buy another. Your truck, but it would be a real shame to take it apart. Mike.
  14. That first drive must have felt amazing after all that work. Thanks for the update. Mike
  15. I went to the Cole Museum in 1997 or so. I was really impressed. From the photos I’ve seen it has changed quite a bit. I’ll be in Bangor next week but don’t have time to stop. I went to the Bickford collection about 8 years ago. There are a lot of neat trucks there too. I stopped at Yaworski’s in CT on a different trip. He still has a lot of trucks but said everything with pain left. He might have 150 trucks in his junk yard. Definitely worth a stop on the way by. Mike.
  16. That is great. Keep at it. Thanks for the update. Mike.
  17. Tom Zackney brought an R400 tractor to Macungie a number of years ago. He had the hood up and I really had to look to see that there was a engine in there.
  18. Thanks. It was a great show. I’m glad I could share it with everyone. There is an article about Mack Day 2020 forthcoming. Mike
  19. I misunderstood. I thought someone skipped out you. Knowing the amount of work you put into it, it is well worth your asking price. Good luck with the sale. Mike.
  20. Why is this for sale? I thought is was built specifically for someone.
  21. Unfortunately there is no site like that. What parts are you looking for? Different people will have different things. Cal Little. Matt Pfahl. Kevin All. The Bickford collection. What mode is it? How about some photos? Mike.
  22. I can’t believe you’re not done with this yet. If I were doing it i would have lost Half the pieces by now. Or maybe not have even started yet. I can’t wait to see it at Mack Day! Mike.
  23. Carl, are you bidding on this? Harvey Eckert send me info on it the last time it sold. It was out of my price range then too. Mike
  24. That is a nice bunch of BrockwaYs. I would have liked to go, but my kids did not want to be in a truck that long. My parents had a good time though. Michael.
