  1. I got a $1000 quote for a core for a 53 Chevy pickup. I need to send my stuff where you get truck cores for $750.
  2. I believe I saw Ken in passing at Macungie this year. He was doing well last year at Mack Day. Mike
  3. My 1951 405A is 6 volt. Also positive ground. It should not matter if it is positive or negative ground. Just hook positive to positive and negative to negative to jump it. I don’t remember if we did a tune up in my 405A. We might have just cleaned everything up and ran it. I think we replaced the coils but if we did we just went to NAPA and asked for a 6 volt coil. They always ask what I am working on. I tell them but them tell them what parts I want. Let’s see a photo. Good luck. Mike
  4. I thought you quit on this project. I was going to come up with a trailer and have you push it on with a bulldozer to get it out of your way. Think of all the time you would have without it. But if you decide to keep going…I hope I get to see it sometime. The offer is still open if you do give up on it. Mike
  5. If you need photos of my LFT as guidance let know. It is pretty much stock. I’m glad for easy photos now. I forgot how to put stuff back together in minutes of taking it apart. Mike.
  6. I was hoping you had quit on it so I could get a deal on it. I’ve bought a couple people’s stalled projects. Now they are my stalled projects. Mike.
  7. How about the story on the Jeep? I am looking for a WWII jeep. My son is really into WWII right now.
  8. I’ve had the A30 for 11 or 12 years, but have done nothing with it. It is very clean. Just a little rust on the fenders at the bracket. A friend worked out of the overnite terminal in Stowe PA when they were bought out. I asked if he could get me a sign from a trailer but that was the best he could do. I have 2 overnight H63’s that are on the project list. Mike
  9. 1964 IH V200 open cab hooked to a 85’ pirsche aerial from Marion in Reading PA. It is hard to get a good phot they way it is stuffed in there. Mike
  10. Great. The water pump on my A30 firetruck needs rebuilt, but I am considering selling it rather than fixing it.
  11. Glad to hear you are taking care of a unique truck. Not many A20’s left. I send my water pumps to Arthur Gould Rebuilders. They do nice work and stand behind it. Mike
  12. Maybe I could apprentice with one of you guys. I wish I could do work like that. Mike.
  13. I AC is a fire truck and it has a switch in the dash for distributor, mag or both. The spark is in the left life of the steering wheel and I push it all the way up to start. My AB has only a mag but has been messed with and has a newer switch on the dash. The linkage for the spark and hand throttle are gone so I cannot adjust it. Mike
  14. 422 has an over head value Thermodyne. I think an EN 460. Mike.
  15. While there were a lot of EQ’s made, not many remain. Thomas Warth’s book say 10,661 were built between 1937 and 1950. Considering production ended 72 years ago it is no wonder there are not many around. Welcome to the forum. Let’s see a photo. Mike.
  16. Nice truck. I’m glad you got the radiator figured out. Your license plate it for a half ton truck. You should get one that starts with a Y. Mike
  17. Congratulations. That’s just what you needed. Post more photos of the trip. Mike
  18. Dose he have one that can be rebuilt? If so, send it to Arthur Gould Rebuilder. They do great work. Mike
  19. It’s about time. Only two weeks till Macungie. It looks like you will have it done. See you there. Mike
  20. He hasn’t been on since November so probably won’t see this.
  21. It’s starting to look like a truck again. Better pick up the pace though. Only three weeks till Macungie. I can’t wait to see it. Great work. Mike
  22. It’s really coming along nicely. It’s great to see your progress. Mike
  23. But I thought you were going to let me put that cab on my B85 from Chicago! I wish I lived closer. I’d love to help you put that back together. Good luck. Mike.
  24. I would bed Cal Little would have one. He has several parts L model fire trucks.
