  1. Good Luck. If you find an oil gauge for one please let me know. Mike
  2. My father is a member, but that is the same weekend as the Brockway 100th Anniversary. That is where we will be. Mike
  3. The chassis record for my 1925 accd says it is a Northeast 5 AC 325, 6188 model SRH. I don't know what this means but I hope it helps. Mike
  4. I have not messed with this truck at all. I traded another B85 tractor for it. I do not know what is wrong with the engine. It has a straight 5 speed. The tires will need replaced due to age. They hold the truck up. I will have to get on a different computer to send more pictures. I do not have a title. It is ex Lowell, Mass. Mike 610 764 8283
  5. You could try Steve Hudson of Hudson Supply. He runs out of Brockville, Ontario, but hauls all over the US. Search Hudson Supply on the web. Mike
  6. As they say, if there are no pictures, it never happened.

    B'day boy:

Happy Birthday! Mine is tomorrow. Mike
  8. Time to go. I need the room. The 707 is bad and no carb. The sheet metal is pretty good, but has a few small rust holes. Trim is gone. Air brakes. It was bought for $1700. Make me an offer. Mike Boyertown, PA 610 764 8283
  9. As much as I hate to, I am going to have to sell some trucks. I just bought this A 30 off of here earlier in the year. The sheet metal is perfect. It would be difficult to take the fire body off. It runs pretty good, but needs a water pump. It needs break work. Flat head 6 cylinder. 6 volt. 31 feet long. I need the room. I have been storing trucks in a friend's garage at no charge and they need to rent it out. I don't want to pay rent. Mike 610 764 8283
  10. Thanks Tim, I am glad to have it. It starts and runs great, but leaks coolant. It will need a radiator core. The truck was beautiful when Tom first bought it. Unfortunately he did not garage it and the paint suffered. It is still a pretty nice truck though. Mike
  11. That is B85F 1001. The first B85F made. It looked really nice.
  12. Lots of good reasons. What's the motor? IH RD 501? Mike
  13. I remember. My girlfriend asked if I knew who it was. I told her people like fire trucks. I suppose we were cruising along about 45. The speedometer is not accurate. I wish it was a faster truck. My father was going to haul the AC out too, but the screen in the fuel tank was clogged and it wouldn't keep running so we left it home. Why didn't you bring the FWD? Mike
  14. This is B85f1001. The first B85 fire truck made.
  15. George, Thanks for being such a good friend. Vlad, The truck is a 1950 LJT1D. I think they call the engine an END672, but I am not sure of that. It is one number off of some familiar number. Ron Smith on here would know. It was his truck. Mike
  16. Hopefully her leg will heal. I'll check my parts truck and reply to your PM. Mike
  17. My L model with a Lanova has been at the mechanics for a year and a half. Parts have been nearly impossible to find. The truck came with a lot of new and used parts. The new parts were gotten from John Chalmers, but he is no longer in the parts business. I was told I had everything needed to put it together, but some of the parts were too worn to use, others were not right and more problems were found the deeper he got. The NOS bearing were not right for the engine because the center bearings are narrower. They had to be cut. We had to have valves made. It needed one liner, but that came with the truck. A parts motor was bought from Gerharts which was a big help, but it still had some of the same problems that the original engine had. Now the search is on for fuel pump and compressor parts. I would not have bought the truck if I had known all of this ahead of time. I'll be afraid to drive it once it is together. Good luck, Mike
  18. If it's nice that sounds cheap. I'd love one. Mike
  19. I love the V model. Does it have a 549 in it? That would be a great "Sunday go to church" truck. Can't wait to see better pictures of the combine too. Mike
  20. The owner of this truck called me on Friday about this truck. Unfortunately is it out of my price range. I would love to have it. He only lives a few miles from me and invited me to come and see his collection. He owns the B67 Allied moving tractor trailer that has been posted on here in the past. He bought that from the place I got my A model and L model fire trucks. He tells me he has several AB's and AC's. I'll take pictures and report back. Mike
  21. There was an L model cab for sale at Macungie. They were asking $3800. It was in primer and looked pretty good. It didn't sell. It belongs to Wayne King from Owen Sound, Ontario. He also had a B model cab in primer there. I think he was asking $2500 for that. I bought a replacement MH bumper off of him. How about some pictures of Hornish's restored trucks? Mike
  22. I'll step in here. It is "aerodynamic". Nothing to do with an arrow. It is the way air moves around things. Also, there is no A in tomorrow. Good work getting dirty though. Mike
