  1. Non Detergent will give you buildup after a while from heat & carbon. Detergent oil keeps the inside of your engine clean an prevent this from happening. Your oil filter will catch the dirt the detergents clean fron your engine,I would not go below a 15/40 BULLHUSK

  9. Some of the Autocars back in the 60's with the 220's used to sound like that, the guys used to call it Last cylinder exhaust. Maybe it was just a Jersey thing? BULLHUSK
  10. The cab was offset so the engine could sit stright up between the frame rails an not on a angle like the old C model Dodge an the old Diamond T's BULLHUSK

  16. Mark, Being a Jersey guy myself an being from a truck family i could relate to a lot of the stuff you post. My dad had 11 brother's & 3 sister's out of the 12 boy's only 1 was not into trucks my dad was a driver an then a truck mechanic. My after school and summer vacations were spent with my dad at the garage or the trucking term. my uncle worked at. I could remember the gypies (owner operators)commin into his office for a trip lease and an advance for the load they were haulin, they looked about 10 feet tall a big wallet with a chain attached, cowboy boots & hat an smookin a Camel.I'm now 56 years old my dad and all my uncles are gone but memories an the stories i'll never forget! an boy i wouldn't trade those days for summer camp or baseball! BULLHUSK

  19. Make sure your vent tubes on top of your fuel tank are clear.
  20. Fulton, I know this is gona sound stupid but did you try wireing the choke open? Maybe the choke cable or the lingage is worn so as when the truck is running the choke starts to close an when it gets about half way the vacuume pulls it shut. Just a shot in the dark but i had an old Plymouth slant 6 that used to do just that!
  21. Tony, If it's an American Bosch Pump On your truck I could tell you how to turn some juice to it real easy (if you want to save a couple a bucks on pullin the pump) I've done it many times on my old EM6-300's & E6-350's with the ambac pump
  22. Know that feeling! went through the same thing with one of my Pete's an all it was? bad dove tail on my Pyro!!BULLHUSK
  23. Jeff, It's my understanding that if you haul your own materials you do not need a ICC # or if you lease your truck to a co. you could use there rites but you would have to display there name and ICC# on your truck (leased too). Also if your wife is the owner then apply for A W.B.E. Womens Buss. Ent. Most State work & P.A. work have to hire a % of these Co.s BUTTTT BUTTTT BTTTT THIS IS NEW JERSEY and those rules could have changed .BULLHUSK P.S. If you need A d.o.t. guy email me @ ernie67rt@aol.com i'll get you a #
  24. I owned 1 W900 K/W, And out of the other 19 (2Macks 2Petes 1Brockway the rest F-Liners) It was the worst riding, maneuvring & handling truck not to mention how freakin heavy it was. Not A good tractor for haulin BULK CEMENT esp. in an out of N.Y. N.J. L.I. & PA. CT. Two years, 4 bumpers & 20 guide poles later. I got rid of it
