  1. Here you go- the first picture is the source book
  2. Here are the 3 charts- the cover sheet is the source for the scans. Phildirt
  3. My 1989 Mack engine performance charts show: E-9 400 1350 ft/lb @ 1300 rpm E-9 450 1495 ft/lb @ 1300 rpm E-9 500 1660 ft/lb @ 1300 rpm If you would like to see the performance charts I can scan them for you.
  4. Here is B75T1989 after a frame stretch and Mack camelback tandems added--
  5. The LED lights will not work if the truck is positive gorund. Not really an issue with the flasher unit.
  6. Mike- Give me a call and I will see about getting you a copy of the spreadsheets/ databases for the Magnum's (Superliners and Ultraliners) 814-827-2626 Phildirt
  7. A lot of bad information in this post. An PA title for an antique vehicle is the same as any other title in the state but will have a "Title Brand" with the letter "A" for antique vehicle. PA trailers are registered by weight. $25 per year (max) or $ 125 for a permanent plate. The "link" above to the Fact Sheet can be read in many different ways. It is not the law or the regulations based on the law. I have never been able to cross check and find the source in the law that says you can't haul cargo.
  8. I have used both in 1920's engines. The "detergent" in the oil is not for cleaning but for keeping byproducts of combustion in suspension for removal by a filter. If there is no filter, I use non- detergent. You will get sludge in the engine with the non- detergent oil unless the engine is run until the oil is hot and kept hot for a while. The rule that our grand parents used on oil was: CBS (Cheap, Black and Slippery)!
  9. The Family 10 of Mack engines, known generally as the E 9, (V8-998) have a bore of 5 3/8" and a stroke of 5 1/2". The displacement is 998 cubic inches.
  10. It is a real tight fit- Remove the full window trim and the vent wing window, lower the window as far as it will go as said above. Remove the 3 flat head screws that hold the door strike plate and push the plate toward the inner door to clear. Pull the clip in the door frame holding in the lock cylinder and remove the cylinder. Turn the exterior door handle to full extension both ways and remove the screws and then remove the exterior handle. Then you are ready to remove the panel. It is a slide down and twist and rotate and slide sideways and then back up all at once type of movement. Remember all the moves to put it back in. You didn't have to remove the crank and inner door handle- they come out as parts of the assembly.
  11. Just like a Caterpiller Sixty- 9 gallon an hour- loaded or empty---
  12. Unless things have changed, J.C. Taylor will not insure big trucks. The will keep what you have but not add any. You could go to their website and get a quote, then call them and they say they will not write the coverage. Gulfway seems about the only choice.
  13. On the T2090- You maybe pressurizing the case from leaking o-rings on the range shifter. Build up air pressure and shut everything down and listen and feel around the filler hole (with the plug out) and shift the range from high to low and back and see if you get leakage from the shifter. Rings and gaskets are available from Mack. Not a bad job to replace- if they are leaking they will put air and oil out around the the shifter stick. There is a change out in the manual for the o-ring in the range shifter to fix this issue. The attached scan is from "T2090/T2100 Transimissions Service Manual", Mack Truck, Inc., February 1984, 10-200(9,10)
  14. Moved a 15B Bucryus- Erie crane from a barge in the Port of Erie last evening. The B75 enjoyed the exercise- thank god for the winch. Phildirt
  15. Doug- Why wouln't you be using it? The weather stayed good until early Sunday morning- the skies opened up. We had to scrape 3" of mud to make it up the hill, Carl came out behind a D- 4 Cat. This is the northern PA and upstate NY gang on Thursday on the way - dog, cat, dog, cat, dog, off brand.
  16. Why sure- will be seeing Pete tomorrow- going to a show in near Brownsville, PA. Won't be running the B 75- getting soft- will be taking the RW 613.
  17. The Mack is a 1963 B75, ENDT 673 turned up to 260 hp, 15 speed triplex, Mack camelback with 4.54 gears, trailer is a 1972 Hyster, ex- Pennsylvania oil patch - (rode hard and put away hot many times), it is just 8' wide. The Caterpillar is a ca. 1928 Model Sixty with a LaPlant- Choate hydraulic blade (same age as the crawler). Weighs about 27,500 and is just 9'6" wide.
  18. Wide load permits are not needed early on Sunday morning. Few details left- chaining down and maybe a flag.
  19. Farmer52 The is a self-service wash business with a good truck bay just north of the show grounds right on Rt 100, just as you start into Macungie- opposite side of road (east) from the MacDonalds. The NE Extension of the PA Turnpike is very, very rough- I get off of 80 at Woodland exit and hit 322 to Harrisburg and then up Rt 22 to the show. Mileage is almost identical and no tolls. There is about 30 miles of 2 lane on 322, but you can move right along. The trip around Harrisburg is congested. I am coming down Thursday morning from NW PA.
  20. Around noon today the last frost went out of the ground here (NW PA). Today was the first warm day in 2011 (72 F). We had snow on the ground every day from the day after Thanksgiving until March 31st. Talk about your old fashioned winters- where is this global warming? Got the trucks out to celebrate. First time they have moved since October. Phildirt
  21. Travis- looks great What did you have to do to get back on the site? Will
  22. Anybody know who "Quadbox" is? I am getting spam email from that name- with links to open. Don't want to miss anything but generally I don't open links from unknown sources. Philldirt
  23. Cool- is the EE is barn fresh- you just needed to wash it? Phildirt
  24. Mine came last week- nice job again. Attached is a .pdf of the application that is on the cover sheet. Phildirt
  25. Is the new issue of the Double Clutch magazine out yet? I called the office 2 weeks ago and the office person said it was going to be mailed out a week ago. Phildirt
