  2. Why don't you get in touch with the definitive source for this information? The Mack Trucks Historical Museum in Allentown is a wonderful resource and has a huge amount of information available on specific trucks. Here is link to the contact information: http://www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=40 I have had nothing but excellent help from the folks at the museum. They normally do not make any charge for services but are dependent on donations. Phildirt

  8. The T2090 is a triple countershaft transmission that has been around for a long time. I have one in a RW613 that has gone a million + 400,000 with a couple of rebuilds. It is handling a 500 + hp E9 engine. I like the way it shifts. I think you could tear it up if you really worked at it. Adelman's wanted $2,500 for a 1 year guarnteed swap (with a good core)about a year ago. The LO gear is plenty low and is fine for yard work. My 9th is .71 and will give you close to 100 mph at 2150 rpms. Price should start at 9 cents a pound - (scrap price) R 2 4 N L 3 5 lo - hi button Skip L on the high side Phildirt
  9. Here is the performance chart for the E9 500 My RW613 has a T2090 (9 speed) with .71 for the top gear and was listed on the build sheet as top speed of 78 mph. It will run over 100 mph at 2150 - hold on tight. E9 500 performance chart.pdf

  23. You really need to get your hands on the shop manual for alingment of the tandems. It tells how to measure, lay out and aling things. Start with the springs- look for broken leaves any other problem and then go for the alingment procedures. I got my frame book off of ebay for about $ 50.
