  1. Kerosene is not good about cetane index although it works. Gesoline is extremely bad for diesel because of it's detonation character. As i read in a book there are different kinds of kero and the aviation kerosene (must read jet fuel) is not allowed for diesel engines. There is an arctik kind of diesel fuel in Russia (not avail. in the region I live) that is up to -60 Celsias. People say it's clear kerosene. As about here there are winter and commen fuels for sale. When temp. comes below water freezing (0 C) the winter one must be at stations. So we could have troubles tanking one day and driven some days later when colder time comes. Plus to it nobody might shure about how a fuel is good. So we usually apply some additives. And the most working one is "Hi gear" made in USA (?) There are also different kinds of electric fuel filter heaters those helpful. My car has a heater combined into cooling system so I usually have no issues. Added some antigell just once this winter.
  2. My country's regulations require amber both sides because it's a color for all front and rear turn lights. When I asked on Watt's a guy told me there are original double amber R-model lights (round) for Australian market. Although I haven't ended up with that guy but ordered turn lights from Watt's online shop. So they are amber with red now. Will tell heart-breaking story to road police in the future or just try to order 2 spare amber lenses.

  10. Paul, sorry, I'm not well educated about different American-made machinery as racings engines and gearboxes. If that stuff is so specific it multiplies chances to find some traces out. This way I'm not shure it's the best idea to inform lots of people you don't know about it all because the bastrads might "lay on a ground". From the other side you may ask some of your friends to start interweb "looking around" for any kind of that stuff hoping for somebody will make an offer.
  11. Too funny to see KamAZ trucks on here, thank you. I used to observe them everyday as most construction and local transport.

  21. Thank you very much! Tooooooooo interesting for me. Of course nobody in Soviet Union wanted to speak about that project. KamAZ plant was built. And works. And nobody wanted to stain the great achivement of Socializm with any facts of American influence! I might see Mack trucks on a streets instead of KamAZes... My God!!!!! Head in hands.... P.s. That city of Naberezhnle Chelney had a name of Brejnev (for some years after his death and until perestroyka).

  23. Thank you. Neat looking churches. All that nations you noted relate to Katholic religion that is a bit different from what is most usual in Russia. So you can note it as a difference of church architecture. I was in Lithuania this past summer and one more previous year. Like Baltic sea and pine forests. And the fact that most people there speaking Russian
