  1. You may spend much less efforts painting just the visor for about the same visual effect. Or even better. On the other hand light roof eleminates heat of the sun so makes sence in painting it but there's not a big difference in darkness for that matter on my mind. Waxing efforts are well seen on the pics, the way to go!
  2. I like the way she looks! (and the same comment to the 1st lot of pictures) It would be cool to add a few small items to the cab or even rear portion of the chassis painted that same light color as fenders are. New door lettering of that color or multiple colors with that green as the main one would suite the scene perfectly too on my mind. Ok, wheel hubs?...
  3. Nice to see you Mike! Ken stopped showing up on here at a certain time for a certain reason. A few years ago. If you go through the show pictires Tom Other Dog posted above you might see blue MH cabover. I belive I saw it this time and could figure if Ken was attending (or not).
  4. Also no sound on my 'puter. Will try with a phone later. Looks like a cool video which at the moment may be count historical
  5. ... And taking to account the rear portion of Cruiseliner frame rails is connected to the front with bolts that truck might be brang back on the road with no real drama.
  6. Hi Paul, The cab of my truck is a middle size option, with sleeper but of shorter style than it commonly was. Has a flat rear wall, no biased top portion. It was said (on here) that that's a rare style. The engine is as it seemed to me EM6-300 2V with a turbo and chassis mounted aftercooler. There's no tag on it and I haven't requested info from Mack Historical Museum, so not almost sure on the particular model. The tranny is a 5 speed T1078 so it's expected to be Maxidyne. There's a second transmission Spicer I guess which is mounted separately under the chassis and seems a factory option. No, I didn't import it myself. Importing a truck to Russia is about an impossible deal for nearly two last decades. The truck was used by a certain American company which was contracted to provide oilfield works in Russia. Than it was sold to a private person in early 2000's I guess who removed the equipment and installed a cargo bed and than sold to another private person whom I bought it from.
  7. Congrats!
  8. The beasty of mine. The only known example in Russia. Vlad
  9. Seems like someone was really wanting this truck. I remember in the past MH Magnums showed up and there was about no interest in them. Even once the talk was the truck was sold for just a E9 engine. Thanks for posting the event. I'm way far from purchasing any trucks from there but nice to see old iron.
  10. Those you used fit the door wery well on my mind. I just saw many (not really many but a few) L-models with slightly curved top bracket where it follows the door top edge. But it's nice to discover that newer stuff off an R could be used that fine. Love the look of the result. L-models are ones of my favorite Macks.
  11. The pictures turned out really nice! Some fresh paint on the truck's wheels would notably improve the look. Good luck on putting her into fully operational condition!
  12. Are these mirror brackets of R (or RW) model style? Fit the L-model door wery well.
  13. I like that Federal. And I like it has 6-71 in it. Maybe one day I could see a video with that GM thing screaming, not soon?
  14. On the other hand it's nice when you have a choice on the ways to enjoy your life
  15. Wow! Found out gumtree access is blocked for my neck of the woods. Ok, if so I'm off of the seriouse buyers
  16. Were any free shipping options over the globe pointed out?
  17. That's a really cool story about Nairn transportation described in that article. I just didn't note the link originally. And now had it read with lot of pleasure. Cool there's a complete history of the entertainment.
  18. I stockpiled the pics from the thread at the time. Unfortunately no text. Absolutely amazing stuff. And the deal it was used in.
  19. Nope. No elephant ears there. They became with a L-model I guess. You can see them on NR's definitely but those FKSW's and other pre-1940 tandems were different. I should look for a picture and post. Need a bit of time for.
  20. Oh, Tom, now I see you are really improved as was being able to go to Winfall bazzar trying to trade in potatoes to that farmer chick. I honestly got worried hard when strated reading this thread and was going to advice (even prescribe) you to not watch TV with Toyota's and razors but only read BTM and maybe some old archived JOT threads as an option. But now I got cheered up (those potatoes on the last pic so good make mooth water really). BTW many thanks for the Macungie photo album! I've got so many random affairs in the recent times so couldn't seat chillfully on a sofa and enjoy watching it full front to end.
  21. Happy 4th of July USA!
  22. Doesn't look brand new indeed. But that's a G-model, a rare animal, and someone may fix it if really wants. The cab is alu so no extremal rust I belive. Additional thanks for attaching the pic. I still have no access to Facebook.
  23. You may need to build a bridge of wooden planks around the roof to spray it. Even may need to rent a set of construction stuff folks use when work over high walls. When a guy painted a cab for me in his garage he put four empty barrels around it and layed planks on them to dance with a spray gun. And the cab was off a truck, not on a chassis. But put on a small trailer I towed by my car. So a bit higher off the floor than just a R-model cab higth.
  24. So isn't that high enough for the house to survive in a flooding now? Thanks for the story Paul mate. Just found the thread and could see live scenes from your brown land. And the job's well done!
