  1. Neat looking little R. And very solid for the age. Congrats on the purchase!
  2. I suppose he didn't. Anything less than 40% grade doesn't work at those latitudes
  3. Yes guys, its whole one class above than just to put a tractor in a ditch in Poland That happened this past week indeed. The guy will too probably go to army jail. Too much of "sound" with that event to hide.
  4. Paul, Great pics! The road shots are my favorites. A lil while back i also had issue with posting images on here. Was surprized being allowwed to upload less and less sizes. Than later I checked out my personal page with settings anf found there "my attachments". Browsed them and found out some earlier files uploaded of a very large size. And many big ones too. Looks like BMT server limits your summery weight of publications. The easiest thing you can do is just delete pictures in old posts. I didn't like that idea since somebody might like to see any. So I edited posts with really heavy pics. Took them off and put resized ones instead. Not a really quick deal though, takes time and attention. But you can do it ocassionally when having time with no use and interweb access at the same time. When waiting for a load for example.
  5. The subscript on the pic looks like Russian name. So probably some aborigen with Russian roots
  6. The cracked weld is awesome
  7. When I was younger and when taking every one more car apart I used to say that a car should be made with only one big nut. In the center. You turn the nut loose and all the car falls into pieces at one time. Reading your thoughts on the matter of the shed design it makes me think a shed must be done the same way. Turn the only big nut and the job is done
  8. I think the best news is nobody heard of the oil trace through all Brown land Swishy mate, your washing machine seems like a tough working unit but I better like the original look.
  9. Nice pics Tom, as usual. Safe roads to you.
  10. No isuue with the pics. Better spend as much time for the project as you can
  11. Sounds like adventures you were more lucky if avoided. 90 ton gross is way out of my imagination. Any thing down the road here is restricted 40 metric ton.
  12. Wow! What a disaster! I thought I'm the only person on the globe having troubles locating SAE hardware. Probably my military NR model has hinges attached to the cab with the same parts. And i suppose a L-model too. Very surprized you couldn't find such common parts as a standard hardware shop item. Will keep your experience in mind.
  13. Wow! Sounds like one tooo steep climb for regular truck traffic. How could you wait allowing the oversize to pass and then start driving? Did you just continue moving slowly during that? Or backed up to some flatter spot behind you? Sounds like there would be a trouble if anybody shows up in the front lane at the time you was passing the wreckage.
  14. Have never heard about that purchase. Locals don't spread even rumors. Everybody is sure GAZ is a Russian truck made in Russia. And the same with KamAZ. As sure as a brick sh*thouse
  15. To the moment you can see trucks with these cabs in the street
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. Best B-day wishes Joe!
  18. That's a church, Russian orthodox, in another willage of my neighbourhood. Don't know how really old it is. Probably 200 years or so, maybe more. Some make-up was done to the outside of it 3-4 years back.
  19. I don't see any wipers in the picture but a nice B-model and some industrial equipment of those days. So found nothing that could disturb me enjoying fishing watching.
  20. Happy New Year BMT!! This passed night in Moscow went with no snow on the ground and nearly 3 Celsias above the freezing point. So I was able to jump in the street from the bar where I was hanging with some friends with just a T-short on. Oh, well, some whiskey in a jar helped being warmed up
  21. I made this picture on January 1 2014 in a couple of km from my home. Couldn't resist and made a bit of riding. The weather was about the same as these days. Not warm though, just 3-5 degrees above the freezing point.
  22. Right at the moment you can't find any snow in Moscow. At my property 15 km away of the city ring a couple of small hills are the only traces of me cleaning the drive way a couple of weeks back. But usually we have 15-25 cm of snow covering the ground at this time of a year.
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. Happy B-lated B-day! And Happy New Year too!
  25. Thank you for the tip guys. My military Mack has the seat bases of plywood with holes too. I have a piece of SS wire mesh net handy. Will sacrifice 4 cut-offs to cover those mice intake ports.
