  1. Good to see these old Dodges still earning their keep. My late dad's 1990 D150 Club Cab (36K miles) has a 360 engine. When he ordered the truck I talked him into opting for the bigger engine. Always liked the 360...basically a stroked 318. This one has a 4speed OD automatic and the engine has a throttle body rather than a carburetor. Maybe someone here can help with an issue. On a warm day, the engine seems to idle rich and you can smell gasoline. But it runs great on the highway. I had the local garage check for codes and there are none. He suggested new plugs, wires, rotor, and distributor cap (still original ones) which I replaced but no difference. I am thinking a sticky EGR valve. Would this cause it to run rich? Other suggestions? Thanks! The manifold absolute pressure sensor was changed at one time. Would this cause the rich idle? Since it is a low mileage original, I thought about sprucing it up and taking it to truck/car shows. Another project "on the list". UPDATE: Some of you have seen the D150 but here it is again....
  2. There are several email notifications you can set-up in your profile. Go to "My Settings" and then "My Notifications" (along left column).
  3. Nice! Happy Veterans' Day to all that served. And THANKS!!

  5. Come on down! Thanks! I looked in the parts book and do not see a check valve between the compressor and the tank. I will look at the line the next time I see the MH. There is a check valve in the line at the "secondary" (left side) tank. As I type this reply, I am thinking there is also a small leak "down stream" of the secondary tank or the check valve is leaking. Otherwise it would hold air pressure. Does this make sense?
  6. No air dryer, no trans shift knob (T2050), no internal trans air leak. Check valve in the primary tank? Where is it located and can it be replaced? I know....leave it alone and move on.
  7. I like it! Hope it makes Macungie or Gerhart's. Want to see it in person. Thanks!
  8. Very nice. What is the color? White?
  9. Your E7 may be a mechanical engine, however it has an electronic governor. Either a V-Mac I or II. Did anyone check the "idle shutdown" setting?
  10. Nice looking MH. Good luck!
  11. You been "taking a leak" in the DEF tank?
  12. Interesting. Where did you see these?
  13. I know you all some of you think I am being a fanatic about leaking air but.... Yesterday morning when I was getting ready to move the MH to winter storage.... Air pressure gauge showed green needle (secondary tank?) at 60 psi, the red needle (primary tank?) was 0 psi. Any thoughts (be nice)?
  14. If anyone is on the route, take some pics and vid and post. Thanks!
  15. This is the Dick Best collection auction. The actual auction is Saturday November 16th in Boardman, OH. Here is the link discussing this auction.... http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/33203-1971-rs-700l-auction-in-ohio-11162013/?hl=%2Bauction+%2Boh
  16. Hey Denny...did you spend your birthday in the Mack or Coach?
  17. I put the MH in "winter storage" on Friday. Going today to disconnect the batteries and install battery maintainers. It is in an unheated shed so any work this winter will be limited. The trailer is parked at the farm sitting in the "big shed". BTW, the trailer is now furnished....I put some of my late brother's furniture in it until I can make room get it moved into the farm house (which is packed now). No stripper pole but two (2) rocking chairs and a table. No heat so it should be "nippley".
  18. If I am connected you will be running it 24 hours. But if I can use your fridge, etc. maybe.
  19. All engines are rated at flywheel per SAE standards. This was/is true for all OEs. I do not know of any OE that advertised "wheel horsepower". Even the automobiles/pickup trucks are engine ratings and not wheel HP.
  20. That is why they put the "sticky stuff" in the mix...so the rain does not wash it off as easily. But if they waited until it froze, some AHole would have spun out from driving too fast for conditions. Can't win for losing.
  21. Seems too early to be thinking about Christmas. Saw this article at HDT website. Nice looking Pinnacle. Anyone have more images? http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/story/2013/11/capitol-christmas-tree-is-bound-for-washington-d-c-on-a-mack-pinnacle.aspx?utm_campaign=Headline-News-20131108&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Enewsletter
  22. EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting.
  23. Hat...I agree. I read the Harbor Freight generators are made in China and are Honda "knock offs". The local RV dealer has a Dometic (electric start) 2600KW for $799.
  24. Buy a small generator to keep the battery charged. For the money, a Harbor Freight portable might be the way to go. I am undecided what to use on my trailer. An Onan RV generator would be ideal but cost is $500-$1000. If you buy a generator, can I park next to you if I bring a LONG extension cord?
  25. Happy Birthday Denny! Have a good one and many more.
