  1. You should see most farm tractor interiors. My dad would have kicked my a$$ up around my shoulders if I trashed an interior like the one above. Pride in ownership? It's just an old truck like Freightrain said.
  2. As some of you know I plan to build living quarters over the fifth wheel portion of my Great Dane trailer. Before I start to "remodel" the interior I want to install the necessary wiring and outlets. I did some research on the interweb but did not find alot of specific instructions for conversion. I am going to visit a RV dealer to hopefully get some information. I am open to suggestions from this group too. I received some valuable information from Hoover's Quarry (yellow B with sleeper - sorry I don't remember your name) and Leversole. 12V Circuit I want to add some interior lights to illuminate the cargo area. I am thinking LEDs since they draw less current and locate the switch near the rear door. I am going to contact Great Dane to determine what factory lighting was available. Any suggestions on other sources of information? Do I also install an "outlet" so I can connect a 12V/110V inverter when I am connected to the tractor (for lights, radio, microwave?, fan, charging cell phone/computer, etc.)? Is the center pin (#7 blue) the "hot" 12V wire? What is the amp rating of the 12V circuit? Do I install dedicated batteries on the trailer and charge from the tractor? 110V Circuit I want to add outlets and lights for the living quarters. I plan to purchase a generator so I am thinking a "RV plug-in" on the outside of the trailer for the generator or shore power. From the RV plug-in go to a circuit breaker box. Then run individual circuits with breakers. Anyother suggestions? Any thoughts about LP tank and appliances (stove, water heater, refrigerator)? Or stay strictly electric? Any suggestions for vents? Sorry for the long post. Hopefully this post is understandable. Thanks for any information or suggestions.
  3. Another early Christmas present from fleBay...a NIB tachometer for the MH.
  4. I have been biting my tongue but I hate to think or say but we are DONE! Unless something drastic happens SOON!
  5. No, you will need to call Jim for details.
  6. $7500 is what I heard at the show.
  7. Saw this at Gerhart's but did not get to talk to Jim about the details. Did this get sold? Or is it still available? How difficult are cab, hood, interior, and engine parts to get for this truck?
  8. The correct part number for the cover 89MR 22M. The illustration in the parts book shows Mack and the bulldog.
  9. Welcome! Like the Ford 801 tractor. Nice restoration.
  10. It will take that long for Mike to move his trucks to the fairgrounds.
  11. Good to hear. Takes forever to get mine up to speed too (T2050). The ride is not too bad (spring rear) with a trailer. 65mph @ 1650rpm.
  12. MX-13 is a DAF engine. The smaller PX-9 and PX-7 are Cummins engines. Rumor is PACCAR is working on a 15L engine.
  13. David! I see David....when did you sneak in? Did you drive the Superdog? Leslie, never run, focus, and zoom at the same time. Someone could get hurt. You should have stayed with the cart.
  14. X2. Allison is very specific about the fluid. The company I worked for was developing a common fluid for all TQ automatics but Allison was very much against it.
  15. Anyone know the final count of trucks and Superliners? IIRC, there were 25 Superdogs at last year's show.
  16. Looks like they have SCR/DEF. Neverstar engine or hummin Cummins?
  17. I agree! Best Gerhart show (but they all have been great). Ideal weather, great people, good food, and great trucks!
  18. Here is my picture contribution. http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/pafarmer52/library/#/user/pafarmer52/library/2013%2010%2005%20Gerhart%20Mack%20Show?sort=2&page=0&_suid=1381103186981007560923314602547
  19. Randy, Sorry to hear about your dad. The Mack show is low on the priority list when something happens in the family. Best wishes to your dad for a full recovery and prayers also to dad, you, and family!
  20. Great show! Thanks for posting pictures. I bailed at 11a and did not get to say "good bye" to DCR (Denny and Ruthann), Mike69mackman, 39 Baby Mack (Ron), and others. And yes I missed the BMT nooner. As I pulled out of the show headed south, I was told the intersection at Brunnerville Road was closed. So I had to backup into the show entrance and go north. I have no idea how I made it to 501 but I did (I remember one section that showed - NO TRUCKS OVER 5T EXCEPT LOCAL DELIVERY). When I got to Route 72 south, it was backed up for over a mile north of the PA turnpike. It took 15 minutes to go the mile. It was still backed up south of the turnpike entrance. Don't know what was the issue. But I made it home by 2:15p, unloaded the truck, showered, put on the suit, and made it to the church on time. Mrs. Farmer was happy and this is what counts. I did not take a lot of pics but I will download and post them in the next day or so. Again, sorry I did not get to say "good bye" but I enjoyed meeting and talking with other BMT members. I hope everyone had a safe trip home. P.S. Leversole was my driver at the show - THANKS! And thanks to Ron for adjusting the MH's rear brakes. Did I hear correctly...a repair invoice? Hopefully there will not be road call charge since you were parked next to me. Hmmm
  21. Thanks guys but already have one! Maddog sent me a note too. Bought it about a year ago - still in the box. But I may need a second one! You know what they say "two or more is a collection."
