  1. Randy, Sorry to hear about your dad. The Mack show is low on the priority list when something happens in the family. Best wishes to your dad for a full recovery and prayers also to dad, you, and family!
  2. Great show! Thanks for posting pictures. I bailed at 11a and did not get to say "good bye" to DCR (Denny and Ruthann), Mike69mackman, 39 Baby Mack (Ron), and others. And yes I missed the BMT nooner. As I pulled out of the show headed south, I was told the intersection at Brunnerville Road was closed. So I had to backup into the show entrance and go north. I have no idea how I made it to 501 but I did (I remember one section that showed - NO TRUCKS OVER 5T EXCEPT LOCAL DELIVERY). When I got to Route 72 south, it was backed up for over a mile north of the PA turnpike. It took 15 minutes to go the mile. It was still backed up south of the turnpike entrance. Don't know what was the issue. But I made it home by 2:15p, unloaded the truck, showered, put on the suit, and made it to the church on time. Mrs. Farmer was happy and this is what counts. I did not take a lot of pics but I will download and post them in the next day or so. Again, sorry I did not get to say "good bye" but I enjoyed meeting and talking with other BMT members. I hope everyone had a safe trip home. P.S. Leversole was my driver at the show - THANKS! And thanks to Ron for adjusting the MH's rear brakes. Did I hear correctly...a repair invoice? Hopefully there will not be road call charge since you were parked next to me. Hmmm
  3. Thanks guys but already have one! Maddog sent me a note too. Bought it about a year ago - still in the box. But I may need a second one! You know what they say "two or more is a collection."
  4. No problem...just wanted clarification to make sure no problem with my system.
  5. I will not be at the nooner picture. Of course most of you have seen my ugly mug before. I am likely going to bail between 11 and 1130 so I can "be at the wedding on time" (Mrs. Farmer said so). Should be a great show (like always). The weather forecast looks good and trucks were arriving on Thursday afternoon (to Dave's dismay). Had dinner with Roger Gerhart, Roger's wife, DCR (Denny and his wife Ruthann), and others. Enjoyed talking with Roger...a wealth of information. BTW, Roger said of all the Macks he liked the MH the best. More trucks will likely show today (Friday) and looking forward to the clambake tonight. Safe travels everyone!
  6. Saw these articles posted in Fleet Owner. Does anyone know of this yard or has anyone visited this place? I think this is the place on the east side of I-78 just south of Allentown. A few pics of MH, R doors, and Superliner hood. Looks like an interesting place. http://fleetowner.com/equipment/visit-truck-boneyard?NL=FO-01&Issue=FO-01_20131003_FO-01_650&YM_RID=kclaar@neo.rr.com&YM_MID=1425549&sfvc4enews=42#slide-4-field_images-102962 There is also a sub-article about an old Mack barn find. The "old Mack" is an International with a bulldog on the hood. There is a picture of the IH hooked to a Superliner. http://fleetowner.com/equipment/classic-plucked-barn#slide-5-field_images-102982 Another article http://fleetowner.com/blog/where-trucks-go-die-or-be-reborn?NL=FO-01&Issue=FO-01_20131003_FO-01_650&YM_RID=kclaar@neo.rr.com&YM_MID=1425549&sfvc4enews=42
  7. Is it the infamous mike69mackman? I never saw him without a cap. Will he be signing autographs at Gerhart's?
  8. I made it to Lititz and dropped the trailer at Gerhart's. Dave is busier than a cat covering crap on a tin roof. Wanted to get the Mack/trailer washed at Lancaster Truck Wash but they were too busy (didn't see much happening when I drove by). The girl on the phone said "today is not a good day". Well heck, when would be a good day? End of rant! I will try to get most of the bugs off the windshield and bumper but it will be far from clean.
  9. But the unemployed, too lazy to work crowd is all in favor of Obummercare. Hmmm! If you want health insurance, go get a job and get your hands out of my pockets!
  10. My MH does not have ABS but the trailer does. The amber light does not illuminate.
  11. Here is your answer... Betty Boop made the scene in 1930 and is based off of Clara Bow, the "it' girl. Bettie Page did not become famous until the mid 50s and was only 7 when Betty Boop was around.
  12. Yep....15 minutes in the corner and then you have to dust the erasers, wash the blackboard, put out the cat, empty the trash, turn off the lights......
  13. Nice pics but Hank is going to be "cranky".
  14. Air leaking from the trailer lines could be a bad tractor protection valve. But a leaking TPV should not cause slow brake release. Just a thought.
  15. I kinda' liked the aardvark.
  16. I am ready to head east (wasn't that a group?) on Turdsday morning. Don't forget the Clambake at Gerhart's on Friday evening - excellent!! I am planning to eat breakfast at Lititz Family Cupboard on Saturday morning. They open at 6a (O'dark 30). The stuffit buffit is great! You all are welcome to join me. It is just a few miles from Gerhart's. http://lititzfamilycupboard.com/
  17. I just read that government employess will not be paid.....but our elected officials still get paid. What is wrong with this picture?
  18. Thanks for the link. I was already registered and am ready to go. Great time last year! I posted it in the Calender section.
  19. Give it another try. I repasted the link and it works for me.
  20. At least you will know where it is located for next year. Did you get a chance to walk around and look at all the "toys"?
