  1. That is why they put the "sticky stuff" in the mix...so the rain does not wash it off as easily. But if they waited until it froze, some AHole would have spun out from driving too fast for conditions. Can't win for losing.
  2. Seems too early to be thinking about Christmas. Saw this article at HDT website. Nice looking Pinnacle. Anyone have more images? http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/story/2013/11/capitol-christmas-tree-is-bound-for-washington-d-c-on-a-mack-pinnacle.aspx?utm_campaign=Headline-News-20131108&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Enewsletter
  3. EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting.
  4. Hat...I agree. I read the Harbor Freight generators are made in China and are Honda "knock offs". The local RV dealer has a Dometic (electric start) 2600KW for $799.
  5. Buy a small generator to keep the battery charged. For the money, a Harbor Freight portable might be the way to go. I am undecided what to use on my trailer. An Onan RV generator would be ideal but cost is $500-$1000. If you buy a generator, can I park next to you if I bring a LONG extension cord?
  6. Happy Birthday Denny! Have a good one and many more.
  7. Your best source is the Mack Museum (link below). Send them or call with your serial number and they will provide you with lots of information including the build/spec sheet. A "nice" donation is appropriate for their work. Takes 6-8 weeks but well worth the wait. http://www.macktrucks.com/default.aspx?pageid=40 Pics of the engine would help with identifying the model.
  8. Welcome to BMT. Nice Vision...good luck with it.
  9. Next summer, come to the "hot bed" of truck shows.....Pennsylvania (Macungie, Gerhart's, Watt's, and Trucktoberfest).
  10. Diesel fuel will work but it will "wash off" quicker than oil. I hear many use ATF.
  11. If you are interested in trains, visit Strasburg Railroad Museum in Strasburg, PA and to the west is Altoona, PA home of the Horseshoe Curve and there is a railroad museum there too. However the best "bang for the buck" is the Macungie ATCA show and Mack.
  12. Does this work for V-Mac I?
  13. Remember, Tom does not stop for anything...especially Winfall wimmin! Except maybe a free hot dog at the Truck Stop.
  14. That took about 5 minutes or did it take you all day to try and locate a snowplow in Miami?
  15. That is Braydon (sp?) Tucker's place in Lisbon, OH. I think he is a BMT member.
  16. Thanks! I don't have time nor money to put into the one I own now. It would be a nice addition especially since it has a V8. This would make a nice Christmas present....hint hint.
  17. IIRC, Mack owned a cement mixer company. I believe they made front discharge units. Champion??
  18. Or Stinky...
  19. Wow! Porn or not...too many people are busy with their "mobile devices" to pay attention to their driving. I see it everyday. Too bad for the officer and his family!
  20. I really wish you all would talk about something other than S-N-O-W! I am ready for April (not to wish my life away).
  21. That explains some things!
  22. I agree, the theory is to put beet juice (or similar substance) in the solution so it sticks to the road surface but we all know it sticks to anything. Heard reports that it is one of the major causes of bridge support rusting. The company I retired from developed a "non-corrosive" ingredient but was "too expensive". At least that is what we were told by OhDOT and other agencies. We "field tested" it with OhDOT and a fleet in Wisconsin. I saw evidence of engine oil pans "rusting" and leaking oil. Maintenance personnel have their hands full when it comes to rusty vehicles. Most idiots drivers want to go 60mph or faster even during snowy conditions and they want "bare" pavement. On Monday I see OhDOT put their "magic juice" (brine and beet juice) on all the bridges and overpasses. You know when you see white stripes. As least it was dry. I have been "caught" behind their "juice wagon" and the crap is like a sticky goo all over your vehicle. BTW, I saw several Macks (Granites and RDs) on the PA Greenstamp with plows installed. They must be expecting an early snow.
  23. Cleveland Clinic (Cleveland, OH) is cutting jobs because of Obummer. My wife's cousin (55) is a dentist and is retiring at the end of 2014 because of Obummer. I think what is happening is only the "tip of the iceberg".
  24. Did you get the cereal number? Vinny - I asked for you.
  25. Register them as a "spouse". BTW, two (2) T-K girls visited the Customer Center on Friday to promote T-Ks breakfast. They visited the Mack Shop too! However, they were wearing TIGHT black leggins (never did see their face). Our waitress (blonde) was one of those girls. And the waitress with long curly hair was the other one.
