  2. Latest satelite images show him crossing a corn field with a few jugs of fuel.......... Hope all is okay with his daughter and grand daughter. Paul
  3. You can do a voltage drop test and check the amp draw on it, probbly cheaper to replace. seeing as it is an intermitant problem you'll have to be prepared to do it when it happens. BUT I personally would take a close look at the electrical switch connector on the key switch, since the Shut down and Malfunction lights act oddly at times. A "soft contact" or a over loaded connection could also cause it to act that way. Paul
  4. These pics were taken at the Freightliner plant in Cleveland North Carolina. We build these and ship them to I assume Europe or Austrailia seeing it's Right Hand Drive. Paul
  5. Saw photo spread in Hot Rod of that engine all crammed into a early pete or KW cab with a long custom chassis. Paul http://www.hotrod.co...ylinder_engine/
  6. Went to get all new filters for my R today at Gabrielli Mack ($$$), because my local Napa had none. Seems to be a recall on the Napa Commercial filters that are / were made by Fram. I was told the bypass valve springs sent by the supplier were weak and causing the oil not to be filtered. This causes unfiltered oil to continuesly by run through the system. I thought the bypass valve was in the filter adapter on the block and that the filters themselves only had an Anti Drainback valve. I always though that Wix or AC made Napas filters to their spec. I've always though FRAM filters were a quality product. Went to FRAMs web site and only found a caution on defective gaskets on a few foreign car filters, called their tech line and got what seemed to be double talk. Any body hear or have problems with either brand? Paul
  7. It matches the make believe "Silver Anniversary" vette he has for sale also. A lot of put together crapola. Paul
  8. Thank you for your interest in joining Hank's Truck Forum. We have turned off self-registration because of so many spammers joining the Forum as well as porn sites trying to mess up the Forum. So as a result we ask that people send us an email, as you did, with your request to join. Here is my e mail , cdntrucky@shaw.ca
  9. From Hanks Forum News 10/25/11: Thanks for your patience while the Forum was updated. The automatic updated didn't work over night so I had to do it manually this morning. So as a result I guess I'll be going to work later today. You maybe as surprised as I was with the new format. It's going to take me a while to get used to it as well. Thank you all for your patience and understanding while the Forum was finally upgraded. Paul

  12. No reply til I test it.
  13. Well according to Al Gore and the White House there is no polution they are 100% clean.......unless the Electron Faries fart. Nobody realizes the the energy to build them, charge them and recycle the batteries causes more polution than a conventional car or truck. LNG seems the best alternative to me. Paul
  14. The mud on it reminds me of the Charles Atlas bully at the beach ad. That 50 year old Mack kick mud all on you? Paul
  15. Can't think...................
  16. Only not here...but They're considered created or saved jobs. The U.S. Department of Energy is defending its $529 million loan to a startup electric car company that will be building its first line of vehicles in Finland. ABC News reported Thursday that Fisker Automotive had decided to outsource the job of assembling its new electric Karma sports car in the Nordic nation. Its reason for choosing Finland, the company's CEO said, was that the U.S. lacked facilities and workers capable of doing the work. "There was no contract manufacturer in the U.S. that could actually produce our vehicle," Henrik Fisker ABC News. "They don't exist here." Vice President Joe Biden had touted the loan to the company as bringing new manufacturing jobs to Americans. Instead, about 500 jobs will go to a Finish company called Valmet Automotive. Fisker insisted that the U.S. loan had been spent on engineering and design work that was done in the United States. An Energy Department spokesman reiterated that in a written statement to Fox News. "The Department's funding was only used for the U.S. operations," spokesman Dan Leistikow said. "The money could not be spent on overseas operations. The Karma also relies on an extensive network of hundreds of suppliers in more than a dozen countries world wide." News of the Fisker outsourcing comes as the Obama administration faces increasing criticism over the Energy Department's $535 million loan to solar panel manufacturer Solyndra, which has since gone bankrupt. The FBI and a congressional committee have launched investigations into the company's collapse amid questions about how the Energy Department allocates funds in its program to encourage green energy.

  19. Saw on BBC news tonight the president talking about the never say die attitude of the American worker. Show a clip of a Mack....no doors, no glass roaring down the highway at 8.99999 M.P.H.. Was that you Rob??
  20. Here is the link. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/ very easy to use and I now get the Restoration Shop Acrylic Enamel from them. It runs about $55.00 a gallon in the red color. It is very easy to spray, shiny and very durable. I just started to use the HVLP set up, High Volume Low Pressure spray gun. Minimal over spray and excellent coverage...less over spray also means a lower volume of paint used. Paul
  21. I ordered a few hood trim parts for my B model, reasonably prices and should be here middle of next week. Shipping UPS in a PVC tube to save from damage. Paul
