  4. I've only seen the Chrome plated metal Beauty Bar or Air Dam from COMBS CUSTOM MANUFACTURING in Kentucky , I had it on my R but it was a casulty. The one in the photo looks like a modified PAACAR item. Paul

  7. Blue Linx is running Freightliners here, I talked to the mechanic and bribed him to pull the logs on the ch's. maint logs, mileages are close, they were replaced for age not mileage. Didn't realize the idler for the PTO was optional..have to check on that. Paul
  8. Mine doesn't like end of March and the begining of April.... The Lambs, piglets, rabbits and squab all go vacationing at the Westinghouse Spa around then. But likes the hassenpfeffer and lamb at Easter and roast porky during the summer though Paul

  15. I have a mid size fridge in the shop with a heater/dehumidifier from a gun safe in it. The sticks I use on site, I keep in a metal tube with a cap and put them on the trucks exhaust manifold to the job site. I made a bracket and use a CV boot clamp to hold it on. Keeps them around 150 to 200 degrees. I used a lot of high nickel content rods for cast iron that way. Paul
  16. I think a big part of the problem with most ALL of the manufacturers is the lack of understanding what the people that use the product really need. Volvo and Pacar seem to base their decisions on Euro trends, not the diverse markets in North America. Maybe not depending on computer projections and models and going out to job sites, truck stops and people are actually in the business would put the product we want on the street. Paul
