  1. All I know is you come out of the canon at 125 miles per hour.... followed by your poop doing 124 miles per hour. It appears to be built from pieces and is powered by a 390 Caddy V8 and a Hydra matic. Paul
  2. So Mochell wouldn't come down in price tsk tsk tsk...
  3. The mileage seems low to me also, checked the # and they were all used by a L.I. company called BlueLinx delivering building supplies to local lumber yards. I'm curious about the chassis specs. If they check out and go with a good price, I'll put my Weldbilt equipment carrier body on it. No real heavy loads carried. We'll see on Monday when they reopen.
  4. The local truck dealer has 4 CH Macks for sale. All are 1999 and are 350 with 10 speed and 44 rear day cabs. All have 150000 to 300000 miles. How reliable were they. I heard that they are underpowered with the 350. I'm thinking of on as a replacement for my wrecked R car carrier with its 25 foot body. Paul
  5. At the Sarasota Circus Museum. Has been retired since 1970. Paul
  6. I'll have to look through my old Over Drive mags. They did a small feature on that B and the Aero B bout 2 years ago. Paul
  7. Ultra dry woods and a piece of broken glass acting like a magnifier lens on the first fire. The second was a person burning leaves. Paul

    Rob:

Good to hear from you and I got the secret plan you sent me..
  11. Vinny' the U that I made is a mix of bits and pieces from a Cruiseliner, a R685 and a DM600. The rear and springs are from my parts box. The rest is scratch built. Its probably the only close to true U model around. Paul
  12. Here is the B61 for Ben and the U (almost) for Vinny and a R410 for Doug.
  13. They are a combination of kit parts Resin parts and alot of scratch building. Paul

  16. O.K. here is a few of a few hundred. Built by me over 35 years
  17. They deserve it. I got to tell you that!! They drive those stump jumpers right into the fire and go to work. My grand son has a photo of his unit in the woods surrounded by fire pockets. I don't like fire, I'd rather do any thing but that. Paul
  18. Probably did. I used race my Norton down by a resturant called the Barge and out of Spinny Hill Auto Body. Traded the Norton is 1971 for a new XLH Sporty. Paul

  20. Had 2 in a row ,over 1700 acres gone , 9 buildings and 3 fire trucks. The last one was 1 mile from house. The guys worked their butts off on the first fire for 2 days straight over 100 fire deptments two Helis and the Air Rescue C130. They deserve a lot of thanks for their work....all volunteers too! Wish we could do more. Paul
  21. Looks like it'll clean up nice. Good to save it from yard status. Paul
  22. I recall John Gneggy's "Learn to Draw" just before SkyKing and just after Modern Farmer. I think you draw well Vinny. Much talent! Paul
