  1. Tee 215 is from an early Land Rover, they used the basic Buick motor til the late 90's. The XKE the jar is on is powered by a 502 big block, my cousin likes British cars and red paint for some odd reason

  5. I THINK THATS THE "LETS GO TRUCKIN " LOOK. Paul
  6. AD was a 3 ton 6 cylinder considered by Mack to be a medium duty. Chassis Number 66001 was on the Kemp truck and was the prototype unit which went into production as the AC6. The AP was considered severe usage Fire truck from 1926 to 1938 and still had tha AC style hood. but also heavy dumps like the ones in the Bolder Dam construction in 7 1/2 ton chain drive to 15 ton versions with dual reduction 2 axle drive with more conventional hood. . Pau 15 ton AP 7 1/2 ton AP Fire chassis AP
  7. Center Moriches exit 69 on LIE, the next village over from Manorville. I went to school with Chris Weeks whose uncle raced there probably the same person? My uncle ran 3/4 midgets at Islip and what was called a jalopy# X33. A 36 Ford with a GMC 261 six and a 2 high box. My 55 when my pop raced it, was maroon and called the "Shell Shocker". He ran at Islip every weekend in the gasser class.
  8. After seeing how good it looks that the first thing that popped out to me was the Carbon Tet unit. My house was loaded with the Carbon Tet Automatic Firemen glass bombs. Good to finally get something you've always wanted , please keep us posted on it.. Paul
  9. I got one I may be talked into selling. A Feather Duster with a 225 HyperPac and 4 speed with OD. Before the grass grows to high I'll figure how to get photos.

  17. For motor vehicle electrical work I keep a case of this around, it's a cheaper brand than the Mack or Mopar part but works well. . . Paul
  18. N.Y. National closed in 1979 or so and i s a house trailer park,Hamptons was rebuilt into a NHRA approved 300 mph track and than was shut down in 1990 now condos, Islip closed in 1975, Freeport closed in 1990 and is a Home Depot or something, Bridge Hampton closed in 1975. The only track left is Riverhead raceway 3/8 mile oval and 500 foot strip and they are on a week to week. I go to York Dragway and E town about 4 times a year. The rest is in the dark on the North Fork near Orient Point or at the closed down Calverton Naval Weapons Station for "nite races". I just sold my Fuller Chassis'd 72 Challenger Funny car remains to Garlits last November. Still have the remains of 4 more race cars I ran in the early 70's on my property I'm going to dispose off some day. Paul
  19. It set an 1/8 mile E/gas IHRA record in 1963 for my pop. I never really keep my time slips but it ran low 12's because of to much gearing, did more street racing than anything else, average 10 to 15 runs a night back in the 80's / 90's. Now I beat the stuffing out if it on the 495 service road, an occasional cruise night and a frequent trip to the gas station. I have more fun with the Challenger. Constantly get the "do you know how much it's worth?" I tell them yeah, $3878.00 , just what it cost when I bought it. It's not original, it's on it's 3rd 4speed, 4th or 5th motor, 2nd Dana 60. It was a sreet car, a tow car when I had a Funnycar and always a street racer. Neither one will be sold 'til I'm dead so I drive them the way they were meant to be driven. Kills the investment people. Paul
  20. Hee Hee, the primer is actually F-14 Tom Cat Grey Epoxy paint. Paul
  21. I must say,I was wrong, after reading the replies and going to Open Borders and reading about the undocumented aliens daily struggle to live here, As Nancy Pelosi said "they are the reason America is so great". I must also agree with the President, Open Borders and Amnesty International to grant amnesty and full rights of citizens to all who enter the country. Paul
  22. My turn to bore you. My 57 Chevy my father and I built while I was in school 1968/70 301 with tunnel ram...stupid idea.. The Challenger I bought when I got out of service and still have it. 440 6 pack ,4 speed with leather interior, thats our honeymoon photo. The 55 was my fathers E/gas 1/8 mile race car in the early 60's thats me in 1973 making it streetable 427 4 speed 5:13 gears. Last is the car now in 2012. Still has 5:13 gear and 4 speed but I put my father 302 Jimmy 6 back in it with the original Wayne head and 6 carbs now converted to EFI and the Econoine I beam is back in it. Paul
  23. Thats true. Senator Caroline McCarthy whose husband was killed in the LIRR shooting wants all guns banned. Funny thing is she shoots at the Michael Britts Gun Shop pistol range every tuesday and thursday.
  24. Don't understand how somebody could bash you for almost getting killed, sure as hell isn't a joke . Idiots! Paul
  25. Illegal is illegal, just come in through the front door as an LEGAL IMMIGRANT. WE give the "undocumented" Section Eight Housing , Health Care, Food Stamps, Free Public Education, Free Aid for College and SSI out of my taxes not theirs. How do you pay taxes when you have no SSN? If I hire one with a bogus SSN. I'M the one who is in deep poop. Thats a fact. If I ask for immigration status, I'm vioilating the law and their "civil" rights, (They're not here legally they have no rights) but if they work for me and are illegal..I'M the one in trouble. If the government insists on allowing them here, at least level the field and give me the same chance. I hear that they do jobs that Americans do not want to do, WHO decided that? I know quite a few people that would do the same jobs the illegals do and be glad to do them. Thats my rant. Paul
