  5. When my trucks and I got home to the farm this evening WE got to meet the Newly Ordained Town Constable.A 22 year old son of the village's Mayor. I can't figure how to move it off the phone. Clarence told me he was told to watch out for us. Uniform too big, sneakers, a brand new utility belt and holster WITH a new Glock 17. . . NEVER FIRED, I know because the high vis lock was still "protecting" any foreign material from intruding into the barrel or chamber. Wondered if he knows officer Fife? Probably didn't seem to respectful to him when I told him we were tired and to get out of our way and go away and closed the gates on him.
  6. More dangerous than all the others. Way More! Bloomberg’s tenure as mayor was defined by this steadfast insistence on telling the people he served that he knew how to run their lives better than they did. Bloomberg knew how to feed newborns better than their mothers did, so he banned baby formula.in NYC run hospitals He knew better than police officers who the criminals are, so he mandated they target people of color more than white New Yorkers for random searches. This totalitarian paternalism is not new, nor is it unique in the world today. Perhaps Bloomberg himself knows this because he went out of his way to applaud the only man on earth implementing his ideology better than he is: Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. Bloomberg: Xi Jinping Is Not a Dictator Bloomberg’s affinity for Xi and the parallels between his own understanding of government and that of Xi’s ideological forebear, Mao Zedong, should horrify any decent American. And it should be particularly problematic for Bloomberg given that his campaign is largely predicated on the fact that he, a Maoist, is more of a "practical" Democratic Socialist presidential choice than old-school Soviet Marxist Bernie Sanders. In a conversation with PBS’s Margaret Hoover in December of 2019, Bloomberg claimed that China relocating coal plants away from cities to hide them from global environmentalists is “doing a lot” to help the earth, then claimed that the Chinese Communist Party is somehow beholden to its people – the same people it routinely tortures, enslaves, rapes, and kills in a bid for absolute power. “The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China, and they listen to the public. When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping has to satisfy his constituents or he’s not going to survive,” Bloomberg asserted. Challenged on the fact that China has no democratic elections and no citizen of China outside of the Communist politburo had a say in Xi’s ascent, Bloomberg added “You’re not going to have a revolution. No government survives without the will of the majority of its people. He has to deliver services.” Don’t be confused by Bloomberg’s outrageous wealth – there is no such thing as a poor communist – and don’t allow the instinct to laugh at absurd policies like banning large sodas to save the people distract from the fact that only one kind of government has attempted to help save them in real life. Just as it would only occur to Bloomberg to legally ban large sodas, Mao Zedong banned flowers (for being symbols of oppression) and gardens as decadent western ideas His best statement in the interview was .“Education in a democracy must be carried on within the Parties rules and needs so that members can understand the meaning of democratic life, the meaning of the relationship between democracy and centralism, and the way in which democratic centralism should be put into practice to boost the Parties standing”.

  17. Yes it would have been but with a different cam. The non commercial hemi from 1957 on was the 392 for Chrysler and DeSoto. Dodge used the commercial 354 in the 1.5 ton and up trucks. Mack wet from the 354 hemi to the 413 wedge in early 1964 in Fire chasis and the R400 series. You still have 180 h.p. but close to 360 to 400 pounds of torque in a steady power curve from about 1200 rpm to about 3800 rpm. The only weak link if you run the early hemi is the unobtainium water pumps, but there is a kit to run a 396 to 454 Chevy big block pump. They are very reliable units if you don't severely abuse them. Been using the first gen hemis for drag racing for many many years and only had 2 fail that were un repairable. But 80% Benzine / 20% gas will stress them a bit.
  18. That is a factory PTO /Drive for the MACK build Double Screw Dump body unit. Here is a few pics for about 1929 to 1932 or so. I had to photograph them because I can't flatten the book enough to scan it. The hole one the lower left is where the up / down control rod passes through to the screw feed on the dump unit. So your unit had a MACK built heavy dump body from the factory. You can see it clear in one photo. One of my AC 6 units has the same set up. Trucks at my property in Va and I'm in Maine so not photos http:// http:// http:// http://
  19. That is a commercial /industrial 354 used primarily for Civil Defense Sirens. Specific cam for low range torque and 1.75 lower compression. I use the heads from the 354 engines for my 392 drag engines, better flow qualities. So if you swap in an other hemi , I'd like to buy the heads for the castings, don't care about the valve train. https://www.amusingplanet.com/2019/08/the-chrysler-air-raid-siren-was-so.html
  20. Looks to be the Commercial 354 hemi with 2 barrel good for 180 h/p and around 260 lbs of torque. that puts a late 1959 very early 1960 build date on the bus as 1959 was the last year of the first gen hemi production. Need engine stuff PM me I have a lot of 354 and 392 engines.
  21. My books show the FA511 as used under R600. R685 R685ST and R 686ST and a slightly different shape. Maybe some one swapped it in ?
  22. Turbo impellers and bearing ok? Anything restricting the exhaust out of the turbo? Leaking between intake manifold and head?
  23. So I gather they were mostly Nigerian Kings flush with their inheritance of 5 billion naira? ( value of .0027 of 1 USD)
  24. I believe their lure of free stuff like college and money for not working replaced their years of parking their windowless vans in front of a school or college and offering candy and puppies for their victems to come into the van. At least they're keeping up on the times. . .
