  5. It makes me sad that our country will waste all this money to try to get something on Trump so it ruins his chances of re-election but I guess when it’s not your money your spending and you want to keep you high paying public servant job I guess burning through tax payers money really don’t bother you
  6. Injection control pressure regulator magnet can fall off only a stamped tin nut holding it on its down in the valley in the high pressure oil pump
  7. Looking good can’t wait to see it done
  8. Congratulations Paul looks like a nice place you got . just remember happy wife happy life
  9. Looks like something you left the brakes on then went and dragged it a thousand miles and found you wore it down in to the cab ☠️
  10. Those are amazing Paul
  11. It looks good those old IH trucks look good someone had a cut off of one near work stuffed in the back of a flat bed but it disappeared nice solid truck
  12. JoJo There is nothing wrong with parts from this and parts from that I know some people that just dump money into project trucks . Everything I do to my truck is look at how can I do it and save a buck for me that’s the fun . My truck was a single axle cause that’s what I found then I came across a smokin deal on an air ride cut off with aluminum wheels well a pack of harbor freight cut off wheels and a hand full of drill bits it was a tandem I even cobbled my own drive shaft out of parts and pieces from the dumpster all in all I got Maby 275 in the whole project so Maby mine is a rat rod …… but with fenders …. And doors ….. and a hood …… and all one color but you know what it’s mine and I love working on it and driving it that’s all that matters
  13. It’s a lot of horsepower all running wide open all at the same time by someone in a trailer looking at a computer they don’t even have eyes on what’s running most of the engines I built were 3512’ they were the most common
  14. I have seen many engines come apart like that I used to fix many cat 3500 engines mostly in frac rigs they would run them till they seized and you would have to plasma cut the rods off to get it to turn over to get converter bolts out or they would explode the rods would blow the weights off the crank they weigh about 80 lbs each . I have also seen a turbo wheel come off and bore a 5 in hole in the muffler and it was gone lol
  15. Thanks jojo that’s why I’m always here I like to see what everybody posts cause Maby I will run into it some day and it will help me fix something and if I can help some people along the way I’m happy . I have worked for the local cat dealer for almost 20 years and my dad had a fleet of 10 ford ltl 9000 I have always liked trucks I see rrom your posts you have quite the background too working on just about anything it’s great with guys like us
  16. Thanks bob im glad it’s fixed too and I’m glad I didn’t go the other routes to repair it everything I found on the net and forums was cam and lifter or fuel pump all of witch were expensive I even sent a video to a Chevy tech and he had no clue what was wrong so if this helps someone I’m happy
  17. 67 R model your right there is a mechanical high pressure pump under the intake that runs off the cam you can’t test the pressure with a gauge any more only with a scan tool I was going to replace that thinking something failed and it could no longer control filial pressure properly the ecm sends a signal to the pump to control pressure . I’m just glad it don’t sound like a bucket of bolts any more
  18. This must be fix you pick up day lol I posted earlier my gmc had tons of problems from a broken exhaust bolt noisy injectors and poor fuel mileage but never once did a light come on that’s what drove me crazy every one said cam and lifters or fuel pump nope just a exhaust leak and ya 150 from eBay for both manifolds and gaskets my truck is a 17 and they were rotted away
  19. I guess I’m used to flat beds around here but we always use a heavy duty truck like Joey Mack’s truck if you put a flat bed on an el Camino or ranchero I don’t think it would go good or haul much I guess we just never went full flat bed on a car in the states lol
  20. Never did I think it would go that far the fuel rail pressure was constantly 2000 plus psi gm states from 500 to 2300 is good but never stated at what speeds or loads
  21. I know it’s just a pick up but with all the problems I have had with this engine noise Maby this will help others out . My truck is a 2017 gmc with the 5.3 after I gout it I got a cold exhaust leak would make some noise on start up then go away . Then it developed a hard shift from 1st to 2nd when cold and only one time . Then it developed a knocking sound when cold like it had a diesel and you could hear the injectors rattling this would happen when cold for a few miles then go away but if you let it idle for a few min it would come back and then go away after a few miles . Also the fuel mileage sucked if you sat in traffic the fumes got worse . Finally I bought new manifolds and gaskets I only had 1 broken bolt but the last 2 ports were leaking . Fired it up with the leak fixed and no injector knocking and shift problem is gone the exhaust leak caused it to over fuel go figure hope this helps others
  22. Paul I want to know what that car- flatbed thing is in the background do they sell them like that or is it just really modified . We have some cars like that in the states but the beds are all part of the body
  23. Wonder if the swift race car driver will hit everything
  24. You should have seen the dry rot on my B model tires they were capped on 1990 and the truck was never used it still had bandag on the tread when I bought it the cracks were so bad you could stick a screwdriver in the side wall cracks and it would stick straight out lol
  25. You could try restoration specialities in winber pa they handle lots of rubber products
