  1. I just replaced one on an ASET, it supplied air to the VGT system. I also replaced the bad air filter on that system. the air leak was fixed and the VGT, worked again.. This may not apply, but...... jojo
  2. seems odd to me.. if your on the highway the oil pressure should go up with higher engine speeds. I'm scratching my head.... just for kicks, the round duetch connector for the governor housing..... did you check the wires to see if they are loose or chafed sometimes the pins will move inside the plug and make a poor connection. .. jojo
  3. its bolted to the frame, mostly on the right side. Its round, it may be 8" across and near a foot tall. (AD-9). or it could be half that size with a screw on filter, like a big oil filter.. Look behind the right tank on the frame.... jojo
  4. I have one, its around 20 years old... the name on it is "Steelman"... its still works and is sensitive. I turn the dial down when I use it..
  5. I should have added that to my post Glenn... Glad you posted, jojo
  6. If you post a pic of the air dryer, I should be able to tell you port to hook into.. as far as the airdryer popping off..... that depends on how much pressure the air compressor you are using can make, as long as it put's 100 or so P.S.I. into the truck your good.. 125 would be great.. Once again... The line coming off the top of the trucks air compressor, goes under the cab and changes to a rubber braided hose. It goes to the input of the dryer... jojo
  7. that the air fan control, some have a cutoff on them. I was suggesting hooking air to the air dryer input. Did you make that happen?
  8. May I suggest making a fitting that screws into the air dryer input, so that you can air-up the truck the natural way. The air will be divided between the Primary and Secondary systems, so that you can test the whole system at the same time... The fitting is the #12 JIC fitting in the dryer base. The threads in the dryer are 1/2" NPT. you can follow it back to the compressor disscharge line to I dentify the correct one. The line will be metal braded line coming off the compressor, then under the cab it will switch to rubber, and go down to the dryer.. jojo
  9. a small leak can do this... Do you have a way to hook shop air to the truck, so you can keep the noise level to a minimum? It makes a big difference. So what year is the truck, Tractor? Dump? Roll-off? what is it?
  10. If you have an air operated engine fan, check the line to the fan clutch.. they can chaffe where it comes up through the shroud. its at 6 O'Clock. Also, the fitting on the front of the fan can leak too. also check the treadle valve on the firewall for leaks, and the tractor protection valve on the firewall, both are next to the steering shaft. jojo
  11. Yes clean the T.E.M. sensor... wash the mess off before you remove it.. Don't "F" around.... Do a good job! Pay attention to the keyway on the sensor. The dented centrimax housing looks to be minor, when you shut the engine you should be able to hear the filter spin down, or have someone shut the truck off and you can feel it spin down, or... just change the housing...It wont effect oil pressure because it will just pump oil through it..
  12. your funny... I bet I'm good.... just a Bump in my road.. Jojo
  13. Amen Brother..... I sometimes look at my 3 pup's, and just "Well-up" They aren't just Dogs.... If people loved each other Half as much as a Dog loves us and we love them..... We would only have to watch the news.... to get the weather report... You Go Dog!! Jojo
  14. Hey 41 chevy... Please bring me some Moxie... I havent had any in 5 years, since The last time i went home to see my Dad in Scarborough... Jojo
  15. we have 2 of our pup's in urn's as well... somehow it gave us comfort. they are still here, so-to-speak, .. Give Zina a hug for me. I'm truly sorry.. Jojo
  16. yes, always from the "Big seat".... You can try that with the sensor, the engine will probably shut off after 10 seconds with the sensor unplugged. Well oil thins when its hot and pressure does drop... so, maybe a bad sensor, if you know the oil pressure is good. your gauge should be hydraulic. there will be A #4 hose coming off the top of the filter pad, and going through the firewall to the gauge.. jojo
  17. I went to see my Dr. about my dizzyness and fatigue today... WELL,,,,,, I gave a blood sample and had chest x-rays... They gave me 2 new meds.. They are looking for Epstein Barre Syndrome. I did not ever have Mono... But there have been many pateints with the same issues i'm having. I may be dizzy and weak for a couple more months. Too bad the Chinese dont put the same quality in the crap they sell us, as they do in their poison's... I had to say it.... Jojo
