It went to Charlotte next day. Then it left there and went 95 miles north to Greensboro. It sat there for a bit... Then it got sent back to Charlotte.... They still havent deposited the check... No wonder we have screwed up Gov. Departments... and Stamps are going up again, close to $1.00

Did you inspect the EUP wires right behind them for cracks in the insulation? The wires are very strong, but the insulation will crack with age.

the black smoke part concerns me on this engine. Are you sure you dont have a boost leak, say.... from a cracked C.A.C.? They are known to crack at the top right along the seam where the side tank is welded.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on a long hose that reaches the cab? I made one. I used it during test drives.

Were you able to open the pdf i posted for you? The AAT wires are probably there, just rolled up and tied back to the engine harness. It may also not be turned on in the program.

look at the bottom of the radiator frame for an ambient air temp sensor. No boost sensor in that era. inspect the fuse box under the hood below the windshield, make sure all fuses are tight, fuse 40 is the EECU fuse. check the condition of the EECU plugs. Check the wires behind the EUP's to see if the insulation is cracking. I will post the procedure for a 9-2 code. it covers how to check the ground connections. do this before you open your wallet again. Jojo 9-2 code.pdf
