  1. I found that Eatons shift smoother, but i only drove a few, and owned 1 meritor 10 speed. But I remember doing 'in chassis' synchro replacements and it was just like doing an Eaton. As far as the sloppy shifter, look to see if its a 2 peice shifter like an eaton. Then you can replace the bushing at the joint like an eaton. I bet ive changed 50 of them..
  2. im good with a salt and peppered ribeye, cooked medium, with blue cheese crumbles on top at the end.
  3. Its really just Beef that can be under done. Poultry and Pork need to be COOKED. 🍻
  4. Dammit Man !! Too bad im not building an E-6 right now..
  5. Im not sure if the volvo dealer portal is any help anymore. Mabey "TheHeinz " will help on this one.
  6. I cant even find my notebook where i recorded all the pins on the bus bars on the firewall. That bugs me... my note books go back 25 years...
  7. KP2... I organized my library of shop manuals. Unfortunatley, the only wire diagrams I have are V-Mac 3, and 4, or the Volvo versions after 2007. I wish I could have helped you. Jojo
  8. Yep. That was my point about the safety valve. Its good that you found that info..
  9. 97 is when V-Mac changed from 2 to 3, coming out in '98. A whole other animal.. i just packed up a bunch of my books during a home repair project. I may try to look for my drawings. I have a bunch.
  10. I wish i was familiar with that compressor, i cant tell from the pictures. On Bendix Tu-Flo and I think Midlands pumps too, there is a plug in the head on the air side not the coolant gallery. They can accept the releif valve.
  11. Id say a lot of black carbon like debris was restricting flow out of the compressor. Is there a pressure relief valve on the copressor head ? If not, i suggest adding one. We use 150 PSI releif valves.
  12. So true fjh. When Mack went WID numbers, the whole parts room was turned upside down. Our shop allowed some of us mechanicsnin the parts room with a parts guy, and many parts were grouped together as they related to each other. For example 'AX' was bolts. I have forgotten a lot, so i dont have many examples. Sorry Freightrain, I felt compelled to divert a bit. Did you download the KSA&A Book ? It is very helpful..
  13. It is supposed to say "P20" not P2.. I hope they work with you..
  14. Ok. Could be.. i have been away from those models for 7 years or so and have forgotten a lot...
  15. I hope so too.. we all have some good/great things to offer here at BMT. I know I have helped some, and some have helped me.. Like I always say.... Its a Brotherhood...
  16. I like the part about the difference between a truck driver, and a trucker. I tried to be a trucker, but found after almost 5 years that it is not in my blood. Being a truck mechanic was in my blood. I have great respect for the Trucker... My brother-in-law is a Trucker.. Hell my wife is more of a Trucker than I am. Stay proud Duck,,, I know what its like to be part of a dying breed. Maybe one day you will influence a new Trucker.... if you havent already..
  17. Happy Birthday D-Day!! 🎂 🥳
  18. As far as manuals go, the engine, trans, and rears are seperate and generic for lack of a better word. The engine is a E-7 350, dont know the trans, the rears are likely 92/93 series. As far as wiring, I dont know what book that would be. If you have a 200 series mack transmission, i have the book for it, drive shaft, and the rears. I dont have an extra E-7 book.
  19. If im right, down is low engine breaking, and up is high engine breaking.
  20. Is the D-2 governor new ? If not, they are cheap enough to just replace it. You can try to spray a very light oil into the intake of the compressor and gently tapping on the head with it running while doing this. 7 months idle may have them stuck.
  21. 70 degrees or more colder ....
