  4. I purchased a truck that was her Daddy's truck. The engine got hurt during a race with a motorcycle. Her Brother who was the owner at that time was the driver.. Well i negotiated a deal. The truck is mine.. She cant wait for me to diagnose the engine, and do whatever it takes to put Daddy's truck on the road ! She will also be part of the engine repair or build, whatever it needs.. She has helped me build many engines in the last 10 years.. so thats the truck, obviously,, and my Lady putting pushrods in a 673 and the head studs and nuts while im off to the side doing other things, she also used to rebuild bundle oil coolers for me and help me put cam bearings in. Now the cam bearing job,,, she knows how to help me aim the oil holes with my aiming tool. She will tell me which way to rotate the bearing to get it lined up. Theres more, but i will stop here.

Of course, the interweb is full of B.S. But... I beleive he is not a natural born American, and a Muslim...
  6. Well... I have read that when Barry was taken to Indonesia after his birth in Kenya, of a Kenyan family, he was raised in a Muslim School in Indonesia. Elementary school age as it would be here in the U.S.of A. ...
  7. To be fair to my Boss.. she does get on me at times with my purchases,,, But,, when it comes to My Homemade C-30 that most would have scraped, and My '48 Int. She doesnt fuss too much. She even told me I need to put tires on 3 of my trucks because I keep plugging the leaks or squirting tire seal in them... So.. I guess I have a keeper too... Smaller money but the principal is the same...
  8. Hell yeah it does. I still dont remember 12 spring loaded pushrods. Just 6 on the exh only..
  9. No sensor, just the regulator 'Y' fitting.. definitely need to check fuel pressure.
  10. It did, in the CCRS series due to a back cut on the exhaust lobes
  11. I dont know what to say. I had mine for 8 years, and ran up and down I-85 a bunch with mine . But mine was diesel with the aisin 4spd auto trans. Too bad... I think they are great trucks... I didnt know about the bell housing issue..
  12. Ouch......
  13. For some reason my memory of 12 spring loaded pushrods is poor. I remember 12 rigid, and 6 of each. Spring loaded only on the exhaust. Its sad that I am unsure, as many of these as Ive done.
  14. yes to using the pinless intake bridges. and spring loaded pushrods came out around 2001/2001 with the CCRS engine series. there is a back-cut on the exhaust lobes and the spring loaded rods helped keep the lifter on the cam, or so they say. Look at your cam part number and compare it to a CCRS engine.
  15. You get it O.D. thanks
  16. I cant post what I really believe....
  17. Heres one.... Michael Jordans race teams has won a bunch of NASCAR races up to today in Kansas. 🤔... He is a new team owner and somehow his teams win almost every week... 🤔 When we have teams like: Penske... Childres... Gibbs... and more who have been here for decades.. 🤔
  18. Yes your bridges have adjustment screws? Correct?
  19. Yes.. i know you have been pushing hard on this. The engine needs to be below 100 degrees when you do the valve adjustment. To check the bridges, I took a .010" feeler and trimmed both sides on the grinder to fit in the exhaust bridge, provided you have engine brakes. It works on all of the adjustable bridges.
  20. Ok... I know I am strict about this, but here goe,s... When you bring the 1&6 timing mark to the pointer or hole in the flywheel housing, you look at the #2 exhaust valve rocker arm (the front valve rockers). If it is rocked/ open, then you are up on #1. If not, you are up on #6. Roll the engine 360, and start the valve adjustment on #1, including the .010" on the bridges. Follow the firing order. As you turn the flywheel to the next marks, it will be in order. [You will only adjust one cylinder at a time, per the firing order. it takes 2 full revolutions to end on #4 ]
